Durst: Rabin Assassination

You would think winning a Nobel Peace Prize might garner some respect. Even in the cradle of fanatic religious nationalism. You'd be wrong. Hard to figure out. Shooting a dove of peace out of the sky. I bet Stalin would be dumbfounded. SMERSH and SPECTRE are shaking their heads in disbelief. Even the guy who shot the Pope had to be taken aback. Reportedly, Yitzhak Rabin's assassin was a 27-year-old law student who was part of a right wing anti-Middle East peace splinter group. The hell is going on? Who signs up to join an anti-peace splinter group? People who graduate from a puppy torture seminar? Do they also recruit for the "Citizens United in Against Food for the Hungry?" The Anti-Senior Citizens League. The National Organization Opposing a Clean Environment. Don't laugh, there is one. Of course, they're better known as "Republicans." To them an environmental extremist is anybody in favor of shade. There have always been flippo units in the world. People who think their opinion more worthy than that of an entire nation. There will always be people with brains like overheated butter. The best the rest of us can do is maintain and move on. And try to track those footsteps whose imprints tower over us.
