DURST: David Duke and "Tough Love"
Sometimes I think we Americans have become immune to the taste of the stuff that comes out of the south end of north bound bulls. David Duke, the former Ku Klux Klan omnipotent lizardstick, or whatever they call it, is running for US Senator in Louisiana, talking about how he wants to help the poor blacks in his state with a program of "tough love". Now the "tough" part, I think I understand. That would be your lynchings, bombings, and cross burnings. Being their signature and all. Wouldn't be surprised to see the KKK in court soon making sure no one unfairly infringes on their barbaric logo. Distinctive trademarks are so difficult to come by. It's the "love" part I still don't get. Maybe that's the function of the hood: so the victims can't see the tears of empathy well up in the eyes of their racist assailants. It doesn't matter anymore, what you believe or the trail of behavior you've left behind, all you have to do is feign ignorance or righteousness or family values and present a broad stupid front and the public will eat it up like free Ecstasy at an all night rave. You'll forgive me, I gotta go wash my mouth out with soap.
