This closing statement is yet more empty blather typical of the so-called “left” and its Mockingbird MSM.
It’s obvious to anyone with a minimal clue that rodeo clown Bush “sanctioned” nothing. A more obvious puppet “president” has never bench warmed the oval office.
Even stooge “president” Warren Harding makes Bush look the pea brained toy cowboy he cannot help but be.
And Cheney along with Lieberman, the Clintons, and the rest of the “neo-cons” are more self-serve foot soldiers who – with virtually all of a DC – dance at the command of a Fascist corporate monopoly spy state that pays their way and greases their blood money careers.
A phony trillion dollar “war on terror” and well over $2 TRILLION “missing” from the Pentagon prior to 911 with its COVER-UP are more than a tip off to an age-old criminal shadow government. One that cooks Washington and its parrot MSM like the carny sideshows they are.

It is entirely possible that some Iranian groups are attacking in Iraq, but can you blame them, considering we are at their borders, we keep threatening , and our history of meddling in their politics going back the last 60 years? Is Israel fanning the flames? Iran is a nation where Shia are in power, it wants to be a player in the region, which is a problem for Saudi Arabia which is mostly a Sunni country...Is Cheney in cahoots with the Saudis because of the oil?
There are a lot of questions that need to be asked...

1. When are the foolish American people going to wake the hell up and demand that Congress remove these two constitutional vipers from power?
2. When is congress going to show some much-needed courage and remove them?
And while we're on the subject of vipers, how 'bout that Joe Leiberman??? The fact that Al Gore was naive enough to put the hideous little jackass on the ticket in 2000 is the reason Bush is in the White House to begin with. Let's face some serious facts here, campers - Leiberman's presense as VP nominee seven years ago didn't exactly inspire the base, if you know what I mean.
And speaking of uninspirational candidates, can it possibly be that the Democrats are going to be dumb enough to repeat that mistake next year by giving Hillary Clinton the nomination? Don't forget that she still insists that invading Iraq was a neat idea.
I need a drink.

The Monopoly Media
"Only eight corporations — Time Warner, Disney, Murdoch’s News Corporation, Viacom (formerly CBS), General Electric, Yahoo, Google, and MSN — now control most of the U.S. media, and some of them have close connections to companies making weaponry for the U.S. military."
And they tell us what to think . . . but it’s not a matter of patriotism, it’s a matter of money.
The preferred business of Big Business is war. When you consider the extreme profits generated by war, no other business enterprise is really worth pursuing. Why settle for millions, when for a lot less effort or competition, you can make billions? Consumers are fickle, new products are invented and companies heavily invested in roller-skates lose out to skateboard companies.
War profiteering is the only guaranteed road to obscene profits, and that’s why the Monopoly Media loves war.
The Monopoly Media doesn’t love war critics, and they don’t like Dennis Kucinich in particular. They see him as a troublemaker who threatens never ending wars, and their never ending obscene profits. As a general rule, they don’t like Democrats either, but they hedge their bets in every election by backing the most war supportive Democratic candidates available. Especially now, with Republican candidates soiling themselves in public, they’ve spotlighted Hillary and Obama as the leading Democratic candidates least likely to interfere with their profits.

The fact that the neocons are gearing up for another attack upon another speed bump to Israel's hegemony of the Middle East, is being met with drooping resignation in Congress and in the public at large. This represents incontrovertible proof that our government has been taken over by gangsters with an agenda entirely at odds with the best interests of America and it's citizens. The fact that Lieberman would have the temerity to publicly promote this massive scam on the heels of the other massive scam in Iraq indicates that nothing short of armed resistance to these madmen will suffice. And that will never happen. We are thus left with a drift into perfect insanity without moorings, rudder, or crew to resist. The Great Satan marches to the orders of a gaggle of anti-christ midgets. And, once again, they win.

"Senator:
Our Constitution is being dismantled by the criminal conspiracy which seized control of the White House (and the Supreme Court) in 2000, and yet all of Congress is either standing by watching or actively engaged in assisting the criminals, yourself included.
Speaker Pelosi says impeachment is "off the table" because of the important work Congress must do, which might be a good explanation except that NONE of that work is being accomplished. You people have given George W. Bush all the money he wants, and allowed him to continue sending our children to their deaths while he hides in Washington and loots the Treasury for his personal gain.
Meanwhile, Dick Cheney is still at large and plainly, publicly planning to invade Iran in order to keep HIS kickbacks rolling in. He is fabricating fake stories to justify the invasion and conquest of Iran just as he did for the invasion and conquest of Iraq.
Congress has done NOTHING to stop the disaster in Iraq, has done NOTHING to bring the Bush Crime Family to justice, or even slow them down! And you're doing NOTHING NOW, while Cheney and Joe Lieberman set the stage for a unilateral, unprovoked attack against Iran.
Senator, it may be timely to review the results of political appeasement of fascist aggressors (circa 1939). Remember how everyone, including Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, was bending over backwards to keep Hitler from making further territorial claims in Europe after the Nazis invaded Czechoslovakia? The result was that Hitler reassured everyone that he was done making land grabs, and everyone heaved a great sigh of relief. Then he invaded Poland and started World War II.
How can Democrats in Congress expect their results to differ from Mr. Chamberlain's? Remember his breathless news conference where he displays the signed paper and proclaims "peace in our time"? Absolutely pathetic in retrospect. Do you not feel like Congressional Democrats are engaged in the same kind of debacle right now, with Bush & Cheney as the fascist aggressors? There's a lot of tough talk about how things are going to be different, but the Democrats (my party!) capitulates every time. How will you respond when Bush/Cheney/Rove et al. bypass Congress once again to start yet-another war of aggression and conquest?
The present occupants of the White house are not just our opponents, they are a criminal enterprise with documented hostility for the US Constitution, and a history of lies, fabrications, swindles, election fraud, and a total disregard for human lives other than their own. There must be legal proceedings initiated against each and every BushCo operative to send the message that laws are being broken and it will not be tolerated. They must be buried under subpoenas and their finances frozen to prevent them from hatching more plots before the '08 elections. To continue dealing with criminals as if they were legitimate elected leaders is the most reprehensible "accommodation" being made.
Senator, you have to decide whether to stand by the principles of our Democracy and oppose Bush/Cheney WITH ACTIONS (not just rhetoric) or to just go along with the herd and hope nothing bad happens. If you choose the latter, this may be your last term as a Senator (maybe everyone's last term). I'm not the only disillusoned voter, of course. I've voted for you every time your name showed up on a ballot since 1980, but you've got to take a stand against the administration's looting of the coffers and reckless foreign adventurism. How can the People support you if you do not support the People?"
As I said, probably futile, but writing to Congress and voting are the tools available to citizens not yet ready for armed insurrection.

Halliburton is charged with selling nuclear technologies to Iran. Cheney’s Halliburton has a long history of doing business in Iran, starting as early as 1995 and continuing through 2005.
“During a trip to the Middle East in March 1996, Vice President Dick Cheney told a group of mostly U.S. businessmen that Congress should ease sanctions in Iran and Libya to foster better relationships, a statement that, in hindsight, is completely hypocritical considering the Bush administration’s foreign policy….”
Now Cheney is adamant about attacking Iran. (this looks like a set up to me – let’s sell nuclear technology for your electricity needs so later we’ll have a trumped-up reason to attack you). Cheney is an obvious unethical hypocrite and double-dealing charlatan who needs to be fired from his job and imprisoned immediately for multiple counts of treason.
AlterNet, please don’t leave Israel out of this equation….Israel’s desire for hegemony and control of assets and resources of Iraq and Israel (entire M.E. for that matter) is well researched and documented. Together, Cheney and Lieberman are coordinating plans for upcoming Iran war and banging the war drums. The Iran war will be for Israel (and U.S. will be used as Israel’s Trojan horse, yet again - just like Iraq).
If you want more information about imperialistic ambitions of Israel, how they seek hegemony over entire Middle East, how they manipulate and influence the U.S. in their plans, and their criminal-illegal occupation(s) read these two great books by Norman Finkelstein. He’s Jewish – so you can’t accuse him of anti-Semitism. Norman takes the gloves off in his critiques of Israel. He is brutally honest and his research is impeccable…….Warning: reading these books may change your heart and life forever….you will be overcome with sadness over the plight of innocent indigenous peoples of the Middle East who have died for no other reason than greed and hegemony:

These guys all have ties to the central corporate interests in the United States. When you look at this from a distance, and add in the telecom cooperation with the NSA in collecting files and archiving data on US citizens, it is nothing less than a recipe for totalitarian corporate rule backed up by an Orwellian police state with religous overtones.
Look down that list - it's like a who's-who of fascist-minded autocrats. Norman Podhoretz, Edwin Meese of Reagan fame, a host of members of the Council on Foreign Relations, members of the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq, etc. etc. etc. Note Herr Lieberman's prominent role in this organization?
For more on the strategy, see The Power of Nightmares...
Or you can watch the movie, Syriana. That touches on a lot of these issues!

TBR News.org – August 16, 2007
“Growing discontent among the grunts here about certain very ugly stories, mostly true, of murders of soldiers and increasing suicides. Also, ‘fragging’ of dictatorial officers and NCOs are increasing.
Whenever you see ‘The death is currently under investigation’ .you know it was probably either a murder by the military or a suicide. They have a small gang attached here whom no one knows anything about but very strong and enduring rumor has it that they are an official ‘hit gang’ who go around offing GIs who are viewed as trouble makers or those who might talk too much if rotated.
And one of the reasons for increasing suicides is that fact that once here, you almost always stay here or, if sent home, it’s for a very short period of time and then back into the maw of the great death machine. Any grunt who dares to bitch or, most especially, to trash mouth Bush is looking for a “sniper’s bullet’ through the head.
. Last week we lost three helicopters and eleven men but I see by looking at the DoD sites that only one was reported.
I would safely say the death toll is at least double what is reported and I know why the injury lists are never, ever, published.
If the public ever saw these kids with legs, arms or faces blown off by the terrible new bombs, there would be rioting stateside. The new propaganda line is that these deadly bombs are made in Iran but they are made right here with a little help from the Saudis.
Many of the brass here believe Bush lives in a weird world that no one wants to talk about and Cheney is a flat nut. But we can not talk about any of this.
So when you read about a death being ‘under investigation,’ take that with a huge block of salt. If there was a nice, neutral country connected with Iraq, half the troops (or probably more) would desert in one weekend and then the brass would have to leave their steel and concrete bunkers and get their legs and arms blown off. And we don’t see many Congressmen’s sons over here. Webb’s son is here but he’s the only one I know of. “

My question for you is, do you read Ha'aretz or do you just mention it to sound as if you believe in justice? If you do read it, as I do frequently, I wonder why you don't use some of your venom on the responders there.
One would have to go to a White Power site to read the sort of supremacist bile that Israelis and American Jews contribute regularly in response to articles there, especially ones that offer a pro-peace or pro-Palestinian point of view.
Alternet readers, want to know what a majority of Israelis and American Jews really think about peace, Israel, Palestinians, etc? Go read responses on Ha'aretz. It's a real education. Makes David Duke seem lovable. But of course I'm an anti-Semite for just suggesting this, as I'm sure yellow will point out. He will also tell you that these negative responses, which are usually the majority, do not really represent the majority of Israelis or American Jews, to which I reply: bullshit.
This is what we're dealing with.

Does anyone know which country has the largest Hydrocarbon reserves? Anyone? The United States but states like California and Florida where much of it is located have a "not in my back yard" attitude. We could get of the ME tit in a matter of a few years if we would allow companies to drill in those areas. So the oil and gas thing does not hold water. It's for control, power and maintaining the US and the only superpower. Attacking Iran is a mistake but has nothing to do with oil... It's cheaper to just buy if we need to.,

Yellow, you take refuge and hide in name-calling and making baseless accusations such as: anti-Semite, moron, ignorant et al. You are truly arrogant and belligerent (you also have a dark soul) and need to stop hiding like a coward and otherwise taking umbrage by spewing drivel and blather towards posters who are being honest about crimes committed by Israel. See if you can comprehend this: Calling Israel on their blatant-obvious criminal behavior is not anti-Semitic/anti-Jewish: It’s criticizing criminal behavior. This is a critical distinction to make. Israel is out of control with its illegal occupations, murdering sprees, and stealing assets-resources from other countries (all of which comprise criminal behavior).
Joshua: I have lost all respect for you as a professional journalist; you should have been intelligent and had the professional insight and wisdom to refrain from the childish name-calling, hate, and vitriol you directed at my comments, and others on this forum as well. You, like Yellow, acted as a coward taking refuge and hiding in your pathetic-absurd practice of name-calling. You, as a representative of AlterNet have displayed most unprofessional journalistic behavior. What part of the equation do you not understand that without the reader (essentially the customer), you don’t have a job.
To Opelboy, Justaguy and Hal: Thank you for standing up to cowards like Yellow and Joshua who obviously feel inadequate, deficient and weak by staying on topic-issue and resort to the infantile, childish, fatuous, and inane behavior of name-calling to hide behind and compensate for their weaknesses. You (Opelboy, Justaguy, Hal) made a clear distinction and delineation that pointing out crimes of both U.S. and Israel does not construe anti-Semitism.
For the record (Joshua and Yellow): I am not an anti-Semite, have never been anti-Semite, and never will be. But, calling me one for pointing out crimes of Israel /AIPAC-U.S. certainly proved one thing: You’re afraid….you’re cowards and hide behind inane childish name-calling and maligning posters on this forum who do have the courage to point out the crimes of Israel, and the dysfunctional relationship between U.S./Israel/AIPAC. You two (Yellow and Joshua) need to read about myriad and detailed crimes committed by Israel by reading reports from Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and Israel’s own human right’s watchdog group: B’Tselem . I shudder to think that my country has been labeled as “engaging war crimes” because we continue to fight wars at the behest of Israel, and be their Trojan horse for the furtherance of Israel’s hegemony in the M.E. Several million innocent indigenous peoples in the M.E. have tragically suffered and died needlessly under the auspices of Israel. Those in U.S. who do not speak out and remain silent concerning the horrible crimes and atrocities of Israel should hang their heads in shame, because their silence is tantamount to complicity.

It's cheaper to just buy if we need to.,
» Oil has everything to do with it. You miss the point as to why.
