Can you guess whether these conservative columnists are writing about Iraq in 2002 or Iran in 2006? (Answers at the bottom)

"A nuclear Ira[ ], either out of calculation that it could win a nuclear exchange with Israel, or out of a fanatical derangement, clearly poses an existential threat to Israel."
-- Tony Blankley

"Surely the burden of proof is on those who say the United States should stay its disarming hand until the U.N. has reached yet another set of undertakings with an Ira[ ] that is contemptuous of such things."
-- George Will

"Right now -- and until we might have to abandon the Security Council and go it alone -- the war option against Ira[ ] enjoys international legitimacy."
-- Charles Krauthammer

"Perhaps we could put aside our national, ongoing, post-9/11 Muslim butt-kissing contest and get on with the business at hand: Bombing Syria back to the stone age and then permanently disarming Ira[ ]."
-- Ann Coulter

"Conventional wisdom holds that there are really only two options for dealing with Ira[ ]: military strikes (by us or Israel) or the usual bundle of conferences, ineffective sanctions and windy UN speeches that lead to nothing."
-- Jonah Goldberg

"You know in a sane world, every country would unite against Ira[ ] and blow it off the face of the Earth. That would be the sane thing to do."
-- Bill O'Reilly

"We must be sure that Ira[ ] becomes a 'nuclear-free zone.' "
-- Oliver North

"On balance, war with Ira[ ] may not be inevitable but is highly probable."
-- Bob Novak

Why don't we just round these war mongers up and send them on a plane to the Iran/Iraq border, drop them off, and then film them trying to survive.

"Neocon Survivor" would make a good series. See how long they live and what kind of torture they endure. It would be a fitting end to an evil bunch of maggots!

As long as both parties are controlled by the corporate establishment so is our government. . As long as our government is controlled by big business our domestic and foreign policies will be controlled by them.

If we can't afford arms to enforce corporate foreign policy and social programs, we will certainly have arms. If we have the arms we must have wars to justify them.

The people must take control of our government immediately, before the next election. Now our votes have power after they are cast we are powerless.

whether to finish dealing with Iraq or simply ignore it and go after Iran. This should give the anti-war movement more ammunition to increase support for their cause and bring back our troops home. Oh, and no more pro-war "Democrats" please !

Some (non conservative) observers expect an attack on Iran within a month or so. See here.

Those who are NOT about to die are the first ones to yell 'ATTACK!!!' Along with Johnny Panic (aka.George Bush, Dick Cheney) and Daddy Warbucks (aka. Donald Rumsfeld and the Pentagon), they freak out all God fearing Americans into believing the Iranians are landing rowboats in San Francisco even as we speak and will soon be wiping their stinking Arab asses with 'Old Glory' if we don't do something soon.
Words of Wisdom: Google the term 'Sunburn' missile. Then pray you don't have relatives in the Navy in the Persian Gulf. 'Nuff said. I'm out.

...it would be a good idea to drop Ann somewhere in the middle of Tehran (and if they made a TV show about it, all the better).

I got four right and four wrong. Isn't it amazing how incredibly similar the situations are. Surely the time is coming where everybody is going to say 'enough is enough' and stop this tyranical imperialism. You can fool some of the people some of the time - but you can't fool all the people all the time!

The war drums are beginning to beat again and I think soon we will be engaging in something horribly deadly. If America decides to go in and Russia and China remain firmly opposed, we could see a two-way devide that would have dire consequences for our fair planet. Scary.

the only one i got wrong was bill o'reilly's and you know i should get credit cause he has said the same thing for about every situation including isreal and palestine...

i like the idea of a drop off point in iran ...at some point there should become an island of dissplaced leaders where from some sattelite you see potatoes dropped...later the special relationships developed between those leaders develop...it could seen like the weather on sattilite phone, but really, my fascist in me would be bored, and that would be helpful to the rest of society

These people need to see the front end of the war they've been promoting. They should be forced to patrol the streets of Baghdad wearing signs saying 'This Was Our Idea' - and not in the Green Zone, either. Bill O'Reilly is such a tough guy, and with hard-as-nails Fraulein Ann Coultier at his side, why should he have anything to fear? Oliver North and Bob Novak are military-CIA guys, they'd be perfect for this mission. Charles Krauthammer, George Will and Tony Blankley could all ride in a Hummer (without any armor plating, of course) and keep an eye out for IED's. Jonah Goldberg - he looks like a young, strapping lad with the rest of his life to look forward to - put him on point where he can draw out the enemy.

They might have to contend with some 'accidental' friendly fire from US troops, however....
