FBI Blows It: Supposed Terror Plot Against NY Synagogues Is Bogus

By Robert Dreyfuss, The Nation. Posted May 23, 2009.

Turns out it is really the handiwork of a creepy FBI informant. The story strengthens the narrative that the "homeland" is under attack. It's not.

By the now, it's maddeningly familiar. A scary terrorist plot is announced. Then it's revealed that the suspects are a hapless bunch of ne'er-do-wells or run-of-the-mill thugs without the slightest connection to any terrorists at all, never mind to Al Qaeda. Finally, the last piece of the puzzle: the entire plot is revealed to have been cooked up by a scummy government agent-provocateur.

I've seen this movie before.

In this case, the alleged perps -- Onta Williams, James Cromitie, David Williams, and Laguerre Payen -- were losers, ex-cons, drug addicts. Al Qaeda they're not. Without the assistance of the agent who entrapped them, they would never have dreamed of committing political violence, nor would they have had the slightest idea about where to acquire plastic explosives or a Stinger missile. That didn't stop prosecutors from acting as if they'd captured Osama bin Laden himself. Noted the Los Angeles Times:

Prosecutors called it the latest in a string of homegrown terrorism plots hatched after Sept. 11.

"It's hard to envision a more chilling plot," Assistant U.S. Atty. Eric Snyder said in court Thursday. He described all four suspects as "eager to bring death to Jews."

Actually, it's hard to imagine a stupider, less competent, and less important plot. The four losers were ensnared by a creepy FBI agent who hung around the mosque in upstate New York until he found what he was looking for. Here's the New York Times account:

Salahuddin Mustafa Muhammad, the imam at the mosque where the authorities say the confidential informant first encountered the men, said none of the men were active in the mosque. ...

Mr. Cromitie was there last June, and he met a stranger.

He had no way of knowing that the stranger's path to the mosque began in 2002, when he was arrested on federal charges of identity theft. He was sentenced to five years' probation, and became a confidential informant for the F.B.I. He began showing up at the mosque in Newburgh around 2007, Mr. Muhammad said.

The stranger's behavior aroused the imam's suspicions. He invited other worshipers to meals, and spoke of violence and jihad, so the imam said he steered clear of him.

"There was just something fishy about him," Mr. Muhammad said. Members "believed he was a government agent."

Mr. Muhammad said members of his congregation told him the man he believed was the informant offered at least one of them a substantial amount of money to join his "team."

So a creepy thug buttonholes people at a mosque, foaming at the mouth about violence and jihad? This is law enforcement? Just imagine if someone did this at a local church, or some synagogue. And the imam says the people "believed he was a government agent."

Preying on these losers, none of whom were apparently actual Muslims, the "confidential informant" orchestrated the acquisition of a disabled Stinger missile to shoot down military planes and cooked up a wild scheme about attacking a Jewish center in the Bronx.

It gets even more pathetic:

The only one of the four suspects who appears to have aroused any suspicion was Payen, a Haitian native who attended the Newburgh mosque. Assistant imam Hamid Rashada said his dishevelment and odd behavior disturbed some members, said the assistant imam, Hamid Rashada.

When Payen appeared in court, defense attorney Marilyn Reader described him as "intellectually challenged" and on medication for schizophrenia. The Associated Press said that when he was asked if he understood the proceedings, Payen replied: "Sort of."

Despite the pompous statements from Mayor Bloomberg of New York and other politicians, including Representative Peter King, the whole story is bogus. The four losers may have been inclined to violence, and they may have harbored a virulent strain of anti-Semitism. But it seems that the informant whipped up their violent tendencies and their hatred of Jews, cooked up the plot, incited them, arranged their purchase of weapons, and then had them busted. To ensure that it made headlines, the creepy informant claimed to be representing a Pakistani extremist group, Jaish-e Muhammad, a bona fide terrorist organization. He wasn't, of course.

It is disgusting and outrageous that the FBI is sending provocateurs into mosques.

The headlines reinforce the very fear that Dick Cheney is trying to stir up. The story strengthens the narrative that the "homeland" is under attack. It's not. As I've written repeatedly, since 9/11 not a single American has even been punched in the nose by an angry Muslim, as far as I can tell. Plot after plot -- the destruction of the Brooklyn Bridge! bombing the New York Subways! taking down the Sears Tower! bombing the Prudential building in Newark! -- proved to be utter nonsense.

What a huge surprise. I smelled a rat the second this story hit the presses. Why is it that America feels the need to be scared all the time? Why is America addicted to fear?

What a sick culture we have become.

Fear. Greed. Lies. Torture. Killing. Cover ups. Bailouts. Wars. LIES, LIES, LIES!!!!!!!

When will you see this Government the way it is? When will you rise above the fear mongering, the left/right paradigm, the fake political parties, the bailouts for the rich, the killing of the weak, the oppression upon the have nots? When? WHEN? WHEN!!!!!???

Start seeing America for what it is. EVIL, CORRUPT, and IGNORANT.

The government needs results to show that the trillions of dollars we've spent, the constitutional rights that we've revoked, the worldwide revulsion that we have engendered, the rivers of blood and tears and mountains of corpses we've created are worthwhile.

Accordingly, our intelligence, law enforcement and prosecutorial authorities entrap some hapless fools to create the illusion of efficacy, the media duly present the propaganda, and the public believes it.

It only took a glance at the photos of the suspects & a quick read of the initial report to intuit that something wasn't adding up.

Or perhaps that something all to familiar was.

For anyone with even a glancing entanglement in our war on drugs in their past, the mention of a paid informant should immediately send off alarm bells.

I'm not sure what disgusts me more about this "case"; the obvious fabrication of an alleged plot & the entrapment of its necessary patsies, or the fact that there most likely exists an actual plot somewhere that has yet again seen vital resources diverted away by incompetent or malicious people.

It's like some sort of endlessly looping fever dream.

This was a scam dreamed up by agent provocateurs and they got some ignorant folks who fell for it.

Bogus Terrorist Plot...Do you not find 9/11 to be the first one, Robert Dreyfuss?
Posted by: pfgetty on May 23, 2009 2:47 AM
Current rating: 4    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
I don't get it. You say this was a bogus terrorist plot, brought on and fabricated by government agents, and using hapless paid off Muslims as the bad guys.
What I don't get is that you can't seem to realize that this is the same story line, although less complicated, as the 9/11 terrorist attack.
Can't you make the connection?

Robert, according to this and your book, you are suspicious of the government to bring us terror for sleazy reasons. Have you NEVER looked at the sleaziest of them all, 9/11? The evidence is OVERWHELMING that that attack also was fabricated and planned by government agents using a bunch of Moslem paid off losers as the guilty ones. And we have proof that 9/11 was fabricated. Why aren't you interested?
Why isn't the Nation, in which you write, interested?
Why isn't Alternet interested?

Why are the left wing media sources so quick to uncover the government complicity in all these little plots, but will NOT uncover and expose the complicity of our government in the big one, 9/11?

There are hundreds of bits of evidence that prove 9/11 was an inside job. Most have other very implausible explanations, used by our media to exonerate the Bush administration from complicity. But if you take several of them, and line up the implausible explanations, it become clear that it is impossible that our government is innocent of the crimes of 9/11.

One bit of evidence, though, that recently was uncovered, proves by itself irrefutably that our government was part of the scheme on 9/11. A peer reviewed paper was published in the Bentham scientific journal that shows that nanothermite was found in dust samples from the WTC collapse. Nanothermite is a very unique, non commercial explosive which would almost certainly have to be produced by the US military. Each bit of nanothermite is produced in a special way, formulated uniquely, at one of only a handful of research labs, most of which are national labs or connected to the US military.........each has a signature and can easily be traced to its source.
It is interesting that when NIST did the investigation of the collapses, there were several experts on nanothermite technology on the staff, like Foreman Williams. None of them tested for thermite, and none have had anything to say about this discovery.

But Alternet, the Nation, Robert Dreyfuss, and the rest of the media have decided not to publish anything about this hugely important evidence. In fact, none of them have published ANYTHING about the facts and analyses by distinguished and accomplished people in the 9/11 truth movement.

I think the media is either pressured or threatened by powerful special interests groups, groups that would be harmed by the exposure of the truth of 9/11.
I think some of them may actually BE part of a group like that. I think Alternet is.

We need somebody, some journalist with a following, to come forth, be brave and responsible, and tell the truth of what you know, and investigate further. Making americans aware of the reality of 9/11 would change the world, for the better. Truth has its own rewards.

Somebody, Robert Dreyfuss, or somebody else, please step up to the plate!

The FBI patsy parade marches on!

The CIA and MI6 do the same things, only they usually allow the crimes to go down, just as the FBI did with the 1993 WTC bombing.

Just ask FBI informant Emad Salem.

http://www.historycommons.org

February 26, 1993: WTC Is Bombed but Does Not Collapse, as Bombers Had Hoped

An attempt to topple the World Trade Center fails, but six people are killed and over 1000 are injured in the misfired blast. An FBI explosives expert later states that, “If they had found the exact architectural Achilles’ heel or if the bomb had been a little bit bigger, not much more, 500 pounds more, I think it would have brought her down.” Ramzi Yousef, who has close ties to bin Laden, organizes the attempt. [Village Voice, 3/30/1993; US Congress, 2/24/1998]

The New York Times later reports on Emad Salem, an undercover agent who will be the key government witness in the trial against Yousef. Salem testifies that the FBI knew about the attack beforehand and told him they would thwart it by substituting a harmless powder for the explosives. However, an FBI supervisor called off this plan, and the bombing was not stopped. [New York Times, 10/28/1993] Other suspects were ineptly investigated before the bombing as early as 1990. Several of the bombers were trained by the CIA to fight in the Afghan war, and the CIA later concludes, in internal documents, that it was “partly culpable” for this bombing (see January 24, 1994). [Independent, 11/1/1998]

9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed is an uncle of Yousef and also has a role in the WTC bombing (see March 20, 1993). [Independent, 6/6/2002; Los Angeles Times, 9/1/2002] One of the attackers even leaves a message which will later be found by investigators, stating, “Next time, it will be very precise.” [Associated Press, 9/30/2001]

The career of MI5/MI6 recruit Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh is also quite fascinating, as is that of CIA operative Ali Abdul Saoud Mohamed.

If you analyze the government's story closely, you will find that not one element of their conspiracy theory is credibly supported by the facts.

We need a new investigation into the events of 9/11/01.

Physics, facts and logic prove that the government's conspiracy theory of 9/11 cannot be true.

The truth shall set us free.  Love is the only way forward.

In court the judge is not entitled to judge if any of the acting gangmembers is a fbi. cia or policemember.

The strange thing in USA so many people are in jail.

Dont you realise you are brainwashed?
So that many people donot have health insurance or a livable hourly wage because a small group of incompetent greedy bastards lives in luxury.

please change the thinking about values in life..
see it in this way;

Why would a real representative of a real terrorist organisation recruit a bunch of retards like these to do anything? The suspects seem to lack the basic intelligence to plan any sort of attck themselves, and it will be interesting to see what they have to say about who planned the "Attacks" when they go on trial.

The continental US was a vast repository of natural resources, but not vast enough to support the chosen lifestyle of the immigrant conquerers forever. They (we?) needed more resources and more people to exploit to keep the party going, but they needed to be able to do that free of any pangs of guilt. What better way to do that than to wage "justifiable" wars on those whom we chose to exploit? Either through our direct military action (as in the Spanish/American War and it's catchy "Remember the Maine" slogan) or through surrogates (like the "freedom fighters" who broke Panama away from Colombia).

Maybe some day, far into the future, someone will clearly and officially acknowlege the bogus nature of the 9-11 attack and how it was used to justify kicking ass and stealing shit, but for now we need to at least maintain "reasonable doubt". We can examine it more objectively in the far off future, you know, when we've outgrown that kind of behavior. Just like we outgrew it before and aknowleged that Spain had nothing to do with sinking the Maine.

Party on, Wayne.

This is another example of how big government creates crime to justify its theft of taxpayer dollars. Admittedly, this is not on the scale of the drug war - but our war on dissidents is in its infancy. Give the pro crime faction of elected leaders enough time and they will have the whole world terrorized by real criminals who didn't have a reason to commit crimes before the new policy. The drug war has basically destroyed most peoples' right to privacy from governmental invasion. Both wars on dissidents utilize informants who manufacture evidence, break laws with governmental consent, and implicate innocent fall guys. And we wonder why anti US government sentiment is growing.

Kevin Poulsen, a former Black Hat computer cracker--currently Senior Editor of Wired Magazine--was pursued by the FBI and PacBell internal investigators for years.

During this period Poulsen was "befriended" by an FBI informant, "Agent Steal" aka Justin Tanner Petersen, aka Eric Edward Heinz, who was used by the FBI to not only monitor Poulsen's activities but to encourage him to commit even more computer crimes.

As it turns out, Justin Tanner Petersen was paid by the FBI to track down both Kevin Poulsen and Kevin Mitnick.

Ok this is so reminscent of how the FBI used PAID informants to infiltrate "radical" groups in the 60's. Looking to earn $$$ an "informant" approaches and/or infiltrates disaffected groups and/or indiviuals until VOILA he finds those whom he can further dupe into "plotting" something, anything. Then the informants handlers are led to believe a "plot" or "threat" has been uncoverd and monies are provided even weapons too, all because of the informants "hot" intel.. As we watch the news, and any trial proceedings it will show this same old tired rerun is the 60's redoux yet again. Damn the Feds of whatever stripe and 3 letter alphabet soup NEVER learn, or it's more of the Hoover mentality creating a need to exist. Where is REAL journalism, factual AND contextual, to give us a perspective and replay the reruns ... History is repeating itself ad nauseum ...

The same informant/agent provocateur was used by the government in the Albany Sting case, see here:

See also www.projectsalam.org

"This web site is devoted to researching and documenting the likelihood that the United States Justice Department’s post-9/11 terrorism-related prosecutions and convictions have included a significant number of Muslims who were in fact innocent of any crime.Other cases were severely overcharged and/or over sentenced. "

It also addresses government tactics used in getting prosecutions.

Newburgh is a shit-hole

My mother lived in Newburgh. I have spent some time there, and when I saw the place I was disgusted. The local food bank had homeless people lined up for two blocks, right downtown. And this was in the early nineties. The local Police precinct had no windows, but only spray painted plywood covering them.

There is no legitimate 'market' left there accessible to anyone not born into money or privilege. The only market left is the black market. Churches, Mosques, and Synagogues are filling up with people in need of a hand up, and who have self-medicated themselves against physical and spiritual poverty. These people are constantly used to justify draconian security measures which serve only to grind them down further. The jails in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster Counties are full of people with no legal options for improving their situations.

Like others who have posted here, I felt skeptical when I saw the report on the news. As I watched the video of the suspects under arrest, I thought, it sounds a lot like other "plots" that were either wishful thinking or entrapment by infiltrators. I did not give it another thought, much less fret about the danger. I'm glad (or should I be sad?) that any threat was fictional, and the plot was, in fact, hatched by the FBI.

They are to busy sharing our wealth among themselves and friends or paying back for favors done.
It really has nothing to do with Obama or anyone else it has to do with continuity of government, so to speak. Close your eyes and imagine that there was no election and no new president. Do you see that what was done in the last administration is also being done now minus a few crumbs being thrown our way.
The change that we got from this past election was in the form of the person but not in what those persons were doing. Government, Corporations and the media are all one in the same and depending on the situation at any given moment one or several will be blamed but no justice will ever be served. Sort of a feel good pill for the masses which wears off quickly.
And I voted for Obama.

The idiots deserve what they get. But our tax dollars are supposed to protect us not to be used for cooking up plots in an endless war so the defense industry prospers.

Has the author consider that this might be how terrorism works?

One extremist walking into a mosque or university and iciting others to join him in committing a violent act or act of terror is enough to blow up anything.
This time it was an FBI informant playing that role, next time it might be someone else. However, there is no proof that 'someone else' actually exists.
So this doesn't prove that a terrorist threat does exist, it just proves that you can incite people to commit such acts. We already knew that, as we know that you can incite otherwise decent people to commit torture.
The important thing to note is that there are people willing to follow along on such plots and commit those sort of crimes. That should give you pause for thought.
It is not only the brilliant schemer with fantastic rhetoric and winning personality (sidenote: those are the one's we normally bailout with huge amount of money).

Still more evidence that 9/11 was not an inside job
Posted by: Perry Logan on May 24, 2009 3:01 AM
Current rating: 3    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
This incident stands as yet another clue that 9/11 was not an inside job. Here's why:

After 9/11, both the Bush Administration and the conspiracy community predicted lots more big domestic terror attacks.

Of course, they were both 100% wrong. Instead of more attacks, we got halfassed little schemes like this one. The Bush Administration even tried to sell a scheme based on three-year-old data.

But this makes no sense whatsoever within the conspiracy scenario. If the government had brought off 9/11, they would have provided us with some fresh terror, not bizarre little schemes like this one.

One can thus conclude that 9/11 was almost certainnly not an inside job. Events have not backed up the conspiracy scenario.

The conspiracy community has dealt with this as they deal with all such challenges to their theory--by ignoring it.

Come on Bin Laden is a silver spoons spoiled brat who likes to see others sacrific themselves at his Ego Alter.
That slimmy SOB recruits the desperate and delusional to go Kill themselves & Others with the promise that Binny's anionted them for salavation- Binny not just a sociopathic maniac, he's an egomaniac with God Ideations.
Of Course we have a Few of our Own who call themselves 'Christians'- calling their Blind followers 'soldiers of God', indoctrinating Kids in military style camps 'for Jesus'. Haven't we seen how this tragic movie plays out enough times to finally call these Meglomanicas out as 'Deceivers'- Jones, Manson, Keresh.
And we have agencies which serve at the pleasure of the people playing these deadly games- something the FBI picked up from their buddies in the CIA. What if these 4 realized they were being conned- and by passed their 'Fearless leader' (the FBI agent) and obtained Real explosives from another source- that snitch would have been implicated since he was their Provocator. And then who would have to answer for a bombing in NY- The FBI.Could we then begin finally calling the FBI at Terrorist organization (we already know the CIA is)

At what cost did the FBI hatch this plot against its own homeland? I mean it. While they were investigating these bozos for a year, who else might have slipped past their radar? And really, what does an operation like this cost, monetarily? How many serial rapists and national counterfeiters might the FBI have picked up with some serious gumshoe work that wasn't getting done while this "investigation" was ongoing?

A question no one has ever asked before perhaps?
Posted by: Me_myself_and_I on May 24, 2009 2:13 PM
Current rating: 3    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
They claim that about 4000 people died in the 9/11 attacks on the WTCs.

They now claim that their rebuilding thoughs building again.

The one question I noticed that no one has asked yet is:

1. Where are the bodies of the dead buried at?

One person like a cop can get killed and you hear about it on the news for like 2-3 days in a row. Here we have about 4000 people wiped out by so called terrorist, in one of this nations worst events, and not once did I ever hear of a funeral or see one on line or television.

2. Why?

If there was anyone in the building, where is their bodies at? Still at ground zero? Removed and buried elsewhere? If at ground zero, what are they going to do, rebuild the towers on top of their graves?

3. Has no one in the public taken account of the where abouts of the bodies? Perhaps I wasn't paying attention to that part of the aftermath. Unless I missed something there, I don't remimber ever seeing or hearing about no funerals.

A young man can get shot and killed on the streets, and the "FIRST" people the media interviews is the next door neigbours and friends and FAMILY/IES.

Strange. Where are the voices of the families and friends of these people? These 4000 people? These 4000 loved people? No bodies, no graves, no books to be published, no news or articals, No nothing......Strange how quiet they are about all this unjustness. Even for the one on the so called flight93 that never exsisted. nor the ones on the other planes with no passenger windows, and a UN logo on the side of the nose.

What I really can't understand is that with all these terrorists attacks on the U.S. soil, supposely taking place, why do people just set on line gosiping about it with scrap info from 2nd hand sources, Poor quaility photos and videos, a mountain of proof, and do absolutly nothing about it.

People, Do you understand, that THIS is how and WHY stuff like the N.Y.C. bogus incedents contenue to happen. It wont suprise me to find the C.D.C. behind the latest swine flu deal too. Remember what V.P. Biden said back in January. ON 1/21/09 there would be a globle crisis GENERATED. He said, "mark my words".

Could it be a bio generated crisis like a human modified strain of the 1918 flu? mixed with a coouple of other strains. That would be a good reason for the F.E.M.A. camps across America. I wonder who will be blamed for that?

Or the the 6 nuke that came up missing not long ago. Remeber, Homeland security believes a nuke will be detainated on U.S. soil sometime in the next 5 years? hmmm who has them and where?

And whom will be blamed for that? More like thoughs in this ordeal?

It would seem the gov makes the problem and blames others for it. like the Aids virus. Remember, they claim there is no cure.

Both organizations have been riddled by spies and "moles" over the years.
Field agents send in reports which disappear into the vast wasteland of the "Front Office." Reports about strange pilot trainees prior to 9-11 come to mind.

Wife Hatered Is Not A Crime. Those that hate their wives do not have to beat them. It is not a crime to hate--it is the violent action that is the crime. The arrest of four Muslim Jew haters who wanted to bomb a synagogue does not give the authorities the right to punish all Muslim worshipers that hate Jews. Millions of Muslims live in the vicinity of Jewish houses of worship. They share the same neighborhoods in peace. One droplet does not forecast a thunderstorm. Jews experienced real danger during Chrystal night when hundreds of synagogues were destroyed during the Hitler era. Todays Jews should not be quick to panic at one isolated incident.

What do you have to say about this, Joshua Holland? Once again, it has been shown that the "war on terror" is nothing but an excuse for creating a police state and everlasting war. The whole thing is a fraud!

But it was a conspiracy--not by terrorists, but, again, by our own government.

That's all I have to say. Anyone who still believes this whole "war on terror" thing is legitimate is just as deceived as those who believe, as our last Drug Tsar (and isn't it weird that we even have "Tsars?" Or "Czars," which is just an alternate spelling? Both that, the central bank we have--the "Federal" Reserve-- and our system of taxing labor, are not only unconstitutional, these are all are planks of the Communist Manifesto, just as the word Tsar. Our country's governmental system is now a combination of the worst aspects of communism and capitalism mixed with corporatism)who actually said that "marijuana was the most dangerous drug..even more dangerous than heroin." I'm not making this up. But I wonder how many young people died because of that statement, thinking that if heroin was less harmful than the pot they knew was harmless, then it must be harmless, too.
The lives we could save if we replaced fear mongering and zero tolerance with education, de-mystification, and understanding...
This whole "home grown terror" scare is just another of their plans to take away more of our few remaining rights! If you talk to people who lived through the rise of Hilter--or even study it for yourself--they'll tell you: they did the exact same sort of things in the buildup to the full Nazi regime. They eroded rights slowly at first, then with growing momentumn, as people bought into the fear and the worship of a man--the same kind of blind worship I see being given to Obama. Why? He's broken every damn promise he made!

Don't buy into the fear, don't believe a word they f**kin say~! Stop fighting amongst ourselves, and realize the real fight is between the haves and have-nots-- a growing divide as the rich drain the last of America's wealth off in their schemes, leaving a destroyed dollar behind for us, while they buy up the gold with our tax-payer-fueled "bailouts," which add insult to injury since they had already become so greedy they destroyed the savings of millions of people and brought about the next Great Depression...If Obama had a spine, he would have seized upon this weakeness to break the chains of the central bankers, and reformed our monetary system. Instead, the only institutions he's come down hard upon are those of the average people--the auto industries, who have been crippled for years with healthcare costs accounting for more money spent than even on steel! And by doing this, he is putting millions of people in severe economic jeapordy, as sooo many people's economic lives are-or were- tied to these last industries of a once great industrial nation.

I guess the American people are just going to sit back and let themselves be completely enslaved. By the time they wake up, it will be too late. But in the end, the rich and the elites and the bankers will not "win" because their own actions have provoked one force against which they will have no defense: mother nature. And I hope she wipes clean of this Earth every drop of their not Royal but rotten, imcompassionate, primitive, primate blood! For after all, the pursuit of power is the pursuit of the common man, not true intellectual elites or people who have evolved the higher circuits of their brain and CNS..no, those people are highly empathetic, and could never destroy millions of innocent lives so that they could play "King of the Hill" on a global scale. These people have more in common with serial killers in their inability to care for others than they do with anyone else.

America is not a democracy, but was (once) a constitutional Republic
Posted by: ATH on May 24, 2009 9:34 PM
Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
In a true "democracy," which is a terrible form of government, 51% of the people control the other 49%! It's a form of "mob rules" government.

The system of government devised by our Founding fathers and the Framers of the Constitution, created a constitutional Republic, where everyone (well, that's not entirely true, there was the rascist problem, which was a big one, and the lack of rights for women. But no one gets it perfect the first time, and this was the way things were around the world back in those days) was guaranteed certain "inalienable rights," at birth.

Our process of choosing our leaders is a democratic process, but our government is NOT a democracy (well, it's not a constitutional Republic anymore, either, but..)and never was, and thank the stars for that! Because people are idiots! Scare them a little, and they're willing to start torturing people to death, when they don't even know what really happened, only what they're told by Big Brother.

So, seperate yourself from most of the rest of the ignorant people who think we have a democracy for a government--because they've been told this again and again, and never bothered to actually read the Constitution for themselves, or investigate scholarly historical texts, or Howard Zinn's "The People's History," to learn about our true history, as oppossed to the half truths, lies, and myths they tell us all in school.

In a "democracy," if 51% decided we shouldn't be allowed to bear arms, that right would be taken away, and the other 49% of people would have to live under every other decision the majority--no matter how slim--made. The government wants us to believe we live in a democracy because then they can point to their polls and say, so many people believe this, so this is how things should be--like, if 51% of people thought torture was okay, then we could do it! NO! The Supreme Law of this land was supposed to be the Constitution, and our government a Republic, where everyone's rights, and the rule of law are preserved--a far superior form of government. Of course, now we live in a government that has taken the worst aspects of communism and capitalism and combined them under a government in the form of corporatism. And as Mussolini (Italian fascist in league with Hitler?) once said, "Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism, for it is the perfect merger of corporate and State power." Now, we liver under the control of the central bankers and the MICs, who almost completely control our government.

Since 9/11/01 there have been several injuries and even a few fatalities that have been the result of assaults by several individuals, all making references to "allah", "jihad", or the like. None of their crimes were serious threats to the country, but many were more dangerous than a punch in the nose.

Here's just one quickly-Googled reference with details on a few - I did not find the article I was after referencing someone ramming a crowd with their SUV in California, then claiming that they did it because they wanted to commit "violent jihad".

Nobody checks Feebs fabricate stories

What I found really scary is that this tricked up story was all over the MSM and nobody checked it out before running with it because the FBI put it out. And that public officials then puffed themselves up about how great the Feebs are. It is appalling that a supposedly respected agency can't monitor its agents better. The director needs to get his people in line or fire a few agents. This sort of thing is not acceptable. Catching real terrorists is not a cynical game.

Chicken little the sky is falling nonsense....

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is, was something I was taught as a child. Most government entities rely on tax dollars to run and each year they have to prove they are worth the money, so it seems the adage 'make a need and fill it', is at play here. Especially since 9/11 when government has grown drastically. And this whole episode began in 2007, which means it came to a head after Obama became President. To me this means the FBI and Homeland Security are playing their own 'chicken little' games. They get high fives from the government be it senators, congressman, or mayors and governors. And its we the people who are being snookered, and then sent the damn bill.

Did FBI Informant Setup Suspects to Get Extended Patriot ACT Provisions About To Expire?

In December 2009 several provisions of the USA Patriot Act shall expire. The FBI very much wants those provisions to be extended 10-years.

Concerning the four arrested suspects, FBI might really stand for "Frames-ups, Bribery and Intimidation."

This story and Dick Cheney's [and cronies] paranoia....

reminds me of a line from the, infamous and dead on, movie, "ENEMY OF THE STATE".
Where Will Smith's character [Bobby Dean] is talking to Gene Hackman's character, [Brill]while watching a senator on CNN speak on a "privacy bill". Bobby Dean says, "My wife is always saying that they're spying on certain people and secretly listening our conversations. What privacy bill? The kind of Security who needs?"
And Brill says, "The kind of security he's going to need." [speaking of the senator].

Movie plots come from real life situations, imo. The reason the homeland security was created, [Under the last administration], was to spy on honest people, who would and will, be trying to bring their evilness to justice. We are the ones they want to stop. Those of us who really believe and honor the Constitution. So they keep recruiting bad guys to do "terror plots" will they spoon feed them on how and where. JUST LIKE THEY DID WITH 9/11
That gives them the excuse to keep lying about have to protect us. When really, they're phucking us with no vaseline. We need to be protected from our own Government. And that extends a lot further then President Obama. I believe all Presidents are puppets. There is someone pulling their strings and that is who we need to get, first. But get them all, in one swoop. It takes honest people to do that.

"I'd rather die a hero, then to live a coward."

"A coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero dies but once."

"The only difference between a hero and terrorist, is which side you're on."

So America, don't be sheep! Refuse to be sheep led to slaughter. Because when they can no longer fool us into giving up our money, freely, then they'll just destroy our credibility, livlihoods and everything else and take what we have. [And you know if they want to make you a criminal then you will be a criminal, even if you've never done a crime in your life.]
That's to keep their evil from being discovered and stopped. We are only those who we vote into office and they are human. Which means there is hella room, for mistakes. Or misfortune. [for us.] And then, they move on to the next Constitution loving and living by, citizen.

Big Surprise but what can we do about it?

I just posted almost the same thing, before I read your topic. We need to organize a few thousand people, per day, to go in shifts, yearly to DC. We could do it. We need about 2000 per day. Most of us travel somewhere once a year, anyway, right? Then from now on, America's trip needs to be to DC. 2000 per day, every single day of the year, to protest and make the news and affect the laws and goings on. The more people that go, the more that will join. I am willing to be in that first thousand. Give me my day of the year that I need to be there and I'll be there with bells ringing. That will be my vacation spot, yearly.
Notice they never add DC to the tourism talk? I don't think they want us to visit.

It All Began with 9/11

The first bogus story about a terrorist attack was of course the official 9-11 conspiracy theory.

I find it so unbelievable that even well-informed journalists still think that Bush is just incompetent and that 9/11 was coincidental to allow Bush to attack Afghanistan and Iraq and establish a strong base for fascism in this country.
If you look at the people that Bush hired you will see that they have been waiting for the right moment to implement their plans which have been in place for at least 30 years. Bush appointed 32 Israeli dual citizens to his administration, mostly in foreign affairs and Middle Eastern affairs posts.
There has been a plan in place to militarily take over the oil in the Middle East for over 30 years.
As long as well respected supposedly alternative journalists continued to speak as if 9/11 was perpetrated by Arab terrorists, then nothing can change their plan for the continued establishment of fascism and globalization with one world government and one monetary system.
