WATCH: Jon Stewart Mocks Mainstream Media for Over-the-top Ebola Hysteria

"They already have weakened immunity to any sort of panic."

Jon Stewart took aim at the media's almost giddy excitement the news that one ebola case has been confirmed in America. Even as doctors were assuring a frightened public that they had nothing to fear, that transmission was not that easy, and that no one even in the same hospital as the infected man could get ebola, the media amped it up. "It's almost like they're crossing their fingers for an outbreak," Stewart noted.

Oh boy, then they'd have a story all right.

Then again, Stewart pointed out, the media is prone to hysterics, such as a recent report on the cancer-causing ingredients in pumpkin spice latte.
