On Tuesday night’s Daily Show, host Jon Stewart weighed in on Fox News’ hyped-up war on Christmas – before taking down Sarah Palin and Bill O’Reilly for fighting a war that isn’t actually happening.

“How can I enjoy my Christmas, when I know that somewhere out there a little Jewish boy isn’t being forced to sing 'Oh Little Town of Bethlehem'. Where is the joy there? Who will save Christmas?” he said in sardonic fashion.

Stewart laid into the network for their “world of pure fear and despair,” and Christmas-time “persecution” before zeroing in on his favorite targets Sarah Palin and Bill O’Reilly.

The Daily Show host poked fun at Palin for gloating that she displays a menorah for the entire month of December to teach her kid about the Jewish faith, with Stewart explaining to the Palin children how Hanukkah actually works:

“While I appreciate the gesture, Jews don’t actually just leave a menorah out for the month of December like a knick-knack in a curio case,"  he said.

Stewart than turned his attention to ‘World War C’s’ greatest advocate, Bill O’Reilly who accused Macy’s of turning on Christmas this year, pointing out to both Palin and O’Reilly that Pope Francis who has vocally spoke out against consumerism and commercialism must be against Christmas too.

“Macy’s isn’t Christmassy enough for you? The one emblazoned with a bejeweled ‘believe’ sign that can be seen from space that looks as though someone ejaculated tinsel all over it?” Stewart exclaimed.
