A whistleblower is coming forth against John and Cindy McCain, and the picture he is painting is not a pretty one. You've probably heard about Cindy McCain stealing prescription drugs from her charity in the 1990s. Today, Tom Gosinski, her former employee and once a close friend of the McCains, came out on the record about the entire sordid episode.

And it appears that McCain used his Senate staff and resources to cover up Cindy's drug use, and potentially to prevent the Drug Enforcement Agency from investigating his wife's theft of illegal prescription drugs. John McCain certainly used his political connections to begin a campaign of intimidation against Gosinski, because at the time -- this was after the Keating 5 scandal -- another major scandal would have derailed his career. Gosinski stayed quiet out of fear until today; a recent fight with cancer has strengthened his resolve. As he told me today, if he can beat cancer, he can go on the record regarding how the McCains do business.
Gosinski was an employee of Cindy McCain who helped her run her charity, the American Voluntary Medical Team (AVMT), in the early to mid-1990s. At the time Gosinski worked for her, Cindy McCain was addicted to prescription painkillers, taking between 30 and 50 pills a day of Vicodin and/or Percocet. She had doctors writing out prescriptions in other people's names, including Gosinski's. When Gosinski found one of the prescription slips, he got angry, and Cindy had him fired. This part of the story is just kind of sad, but not damning; Cindy McCain was a lonely and bored wife who turned to drugs in place of what was a loveless marriage full of fundraisers and, in all likelihood, various infidelities (or so were the rumors Gosinski heard at the time).
Now, it begins to get dangerous and vicious after Gosinksi was fired. At first the McCains said they'd help him find a job, but it became clear to Gosinksi that McCain was using his political connections to blackball him from another job in Republican politics in Arizona. So he sued the McCains for wrongful termination and went to the Drug Enforcement Agency to find out the legal repercussions of having prescriptions for painkillers written in his name. To retaliate, McCain then had his political ally Rick Romley open an extortion investigation against Gosinksi. In the course of that investigation, it was revealed that the DEA was circling around Cindy McCain and her charity. It's not clear what they were investigating her for, but it is clear she was bringing illegal prescription drugs around the world on a diplomatic passport secured for her by McCain's Senate office.
McCain's Senate staff and Senate resources were intimately involved in Cindy's work with the charity. John McCain procured her a diplomatic passport, which meant that her bags were not searched by customs, and Mark Salter and Torie Clarke were both coordinating with Gosinski on logistics for the trips abroad. This is great! So the party that has always prided itself on family values and other similar nonsense, has a potential first-lady moonlighting as a drug smuggler. How wonderful. My, how the GOP is certainly shaping-up to be the evangelical movement's Sodom and Gomorrah. Let's see, they've pretty much tagged all seven deadly virtues in the news cycle since their convention concluded: pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth.

The DEA has probably done these kind of "special" favor for most pols anyway all the while outlawing the crop Cannabis that is harmless and could rescue this country from dependence on foreign oil and give us better products that are more durable and environmentally friendly with no petroleum needed. This agency is nothing more than a huge waste of taxpayer money.

A typical case in point of why people use drugs in the first place. I don't blame Cindy McCain for this, she seems to be the victim. She, like millions of others used/use drugs to give a meaningless life meaning. It appears that she was John McCain's trophy wife whose only purpose to him was to go to fundraisers and partys with McCain just to make him look good among his scum collegues, or spend lonely nights home alone while her Senator hubby was out doing some young blonde aide. I fully suspect that had this continued , once he became tired of her he would have simpy thrown her to the wolves (DEA), and let her get tossed in prison, and then she would be out of his hair (what little there is) for many years.
Now if John McCain abused his power in covering her drug use up just to cover his own sorry ass (as I suspect is the case), he is the one who should be looking at doing a minimum term in prison...for corruption and abuse of power.
Stop the drug war and stop it now. The people ensnared in it are medically ill people and do not belong in prison!

Given that the alternative is absolutely unthinkable, I sure hope that these allegations are proved true AND are reported on by the mainstream media AND cost John McCain the presidency (if he would have otherwise won it).
Even if the mainstream media does report this story (a big IF), I think Americans are too stupid to vote against McCain because of it, even if McCain personally violated the law and ethics rules.
Besides, the Republicans will respond by bringing up the (false) allegation that Barack Obama was a drug-dealer. (You know, because he is black and all...)

If you've been awake for the last two decades you've seen how this system will pervert their own laws and obstruct any investigation to reach their desired means. While the rest of the country has to endure cameras up the wazoo and the constant scrutiny
of unseen eyes. How is this democracy? Should'nt we all have to live under the same rules? If those we elect as 'servants' start living as though they we above their Masters,

what's right. Insuring security by having a Free and Open Society and Government. Providing Education and Healthcare to all citizens. Protect the Environment by implementing the means of restoration of clean waters,clean air and health growing soils.

Like many drug addicts, Cindy McCain probably used whatever lies, connections, and excuses she could to help her maintain her addiction. Unlike many drug addicts, however, she had a net worth estimated near $100 Million and was stealing her drugs from a charity organization. Again, stealing is common among many drug addicts because so many of them live in poverty - but this? Come on.
The real nailer here is the repeated undue use of influence by both McCain and his wife and people under their charge in both business and government employ. I am not a person who casually judges others, however these patterns of behavior are a good indication of character. Are the McCains and Palins displaying the character required to exercise the power and duties of their current or hopeful offices with clear authority in an ethical and proper manner?
Do they appear to be committed to the enforcement of the rule of law and the US Constitution?
It does not appear so. I think the next few years will prove very interesting as America continues the painful process of waking to what we have become. The exposure of the truth behind the US government's involvement in the 911 attacks appears imminent on a global scale, with damning new evidence - some in the know speak of photographic proof of undeniable power.
During the truth commission or trials which appear more and more likely to occur we will hear of many disturbing and distasteful events, well beyond the scope of the gutter-like campaign we are currently witnessing. I pray we can have a man or woman of great character and moral strength, like Barack Obama appears to truly be, assisting to guide our nation through this process, not to mention the day to day real world policy changes which are so desperately needed in our country to restore ourselves to our true destiny.
Leaders of insufficient merit at this critical time could well oversee the demise of our republic entirely, or worse. Much worse. Incorrect movement could lead to the deaths of billions, possibly the end of our entire civilization. Can we really gamble that an anger-prone cancer victim backed up by an evangelical MILF have the stuff to guide us through the amazing challenges we face?
Although I am what Fox would call a tin foil whack job way-beyond liberal who doesn't even sneeze to the right, I am proudly pulling for Obama, even though I have many doubts and differences with some of his stated policies. He has shown that he is a man who contains great reserves of strength, wisdom and the qualities of leadership I have been waiting my entire life to see in a presidential candidate.
I fear the McCain campaign is doing everything it can to plausibly claim winning what will be yet another stolen election. Let's give them a show to remember, toss these foolish criminals into the brig, and get to the work of healing our world. What have we got to lose? Everything.

Consider Cindy McCain who claims to support programs that inhibit teenage and young
adult drinking. In a prime example of GOP hypocrisy, she owns the Hensley company,
a national liquor dealer that holds federal and state licenses to distribute beer and lobbies
regulatory agencies on alcohol issues involving health and safety.
As reported by the Los Angeles Times on June 23, 2008, Cindy McCain's booze-dealing
Hensley Co. opposed public safety groups such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
in fighting proposed federal rules that would require alcohol-content information
on every package of beer, wine and liquor.
To advance their cause, Hensley executives, including John McCain's son, Andrew, have
written at least 10 letters to the Treasury Department and contributed tens of thousands
of dollars to alcohol industry lobbyists.
A member of the powerful National Beer Wholesalers Association, Cindy's company has
run afoul of health-advocacy groups that have tried to rein in appeals to young drinkers.
Hensley, for example, distributes fruit-flavored alcohol drinks [nicknamed "alcopops"]
that public-health groups say put young and underage consumers at risk by disguising the
effects of intoxication.
Cindy McCain is chairwoman of Hensley and controls 68 percent of the privately-held
company stock, along with her children and the senator's son from his first marriage. The
family keeps their finances separate, and John McCain claims to have no interest or role
in Hensley. According to the L.A. Times, should he become president and his wife retains her ownership in Hensley, she would set a precedent for outside corporate activity by a first lady.
After the Hensley article came out, the McCain campaign team issued a terse statement
saying, "Any decisions going forward will be made when the senator wins the election and
takes office, but not before."
Political analysts said they were astounded that McCain has not addressed the issue. "You
can't run a beer company out of the White House," commented Samuel Popkin, a political-
science professor at the University of California in San Diego. "McCain is leaving a live
hand grenade on the table -- a major embarrassment [for his future administration]."

Anyone paying any attention to the dirt commonly spread during political campaigns knows about the pill-popping days of Cindy McCain, and the complete lack of even a slap on the wrist in consequence thereof. This is completely typical of the way politicos, celebs, and other "upper-crust" white folks are treated. But being given a given a diplomatic passport to gain further unaccountable access for her dependency through the bad offices of her husband is criminal. This is what should be fully investigated NOW!
Even if the investigation never comes to fruition, as is likely with Mukasey in charge of the DOJ, just being able to hound McCain with questions on this matter might be enough to trigger that well-known temper, and push him enough over the edge so that the electorate can see him for the loose cannon he really is.

what really happened is that mccain said "i'm going to Tampa with the DEA", to investigate first hand some reports of drugrunning. see, it's all a simple error.

And these people want to send you to jail for weed, what hypocrisy! If you are high up in the elite like Cindy or Rush you get nearly zero punative action for thousands of illegally obtained narcotic pain pills. If you are a college student caught with weed you are going to lose financial aid and will get a record both making it impossible to get good work.

Jeb Bush did the same thing for his daughter Noelle, who was caught forging prescriptions, then introducing illegal drugs into her rehab program, including ones she got from her mother. A poor black kid goes to the slammer, but Cindy McCain, Rush Limbaugh and Noelle Bush get away with it.

This is great! So the party that has always prided itself on family values and other similar nonsense, has a potential first-lady moonlighting as a drug smuggler. How wonderful. The DEA has probably done these kind of "special" favor for most pols anyway all the while outlawing the crop Cannabis that is harmless and could rescue this country from dependence on foreign oil and give us better products that are more durable and environmentally friendly with no petroleum needed. This agency is nothing more than a huge waste of taxpayer money.

A typical case in point of why people use drugs in the first place. I don't blame Cindy McCain for this, she seems to be the victim. I fully suspect that had this continued , once he became tired of her he would have simpy thrown her to the wolves (DEA), and let her get tossed in prison, and then she would be out of his hair (what little there is) for many years.
Now if John McCain abused his power in covering her drug use up just to cover his own sorry ass (as I suspect is the case), he is the one who should be looking at doing a minimum term in prison...for corruption and abuse of power.
Stop the drug war and stop it now. The people ensnared in it are medically ill people and do not belong in prison!

Given that the alternative is absolutely unthinkable, I sure hope that these allegations are proved true AND are reported on by the mainstream media AND cost John McCain the presidency (if he would have otherwise won it).
Even if the mainstream media does report this story (a big IF), I think Americans are too stupid to vote against McCain because of it, even if McCain personally violated the law and ethics rules.

Like many drug addicts, Cindy McCain probably used whatever lies, connections, and excuses she could to help her maintain her addiction. Unlike many drug addicts, however, she had a net worth estimated near $100 Million and was stealing her drugs from a charity organization. Again, stealing is common among many drug addicts because so many of them live in poverty - but this? Come on.
The real nailer here is the repeated undue use of influence by both McCain and his wife and people under their charge in both business and government employ. I am not a person who casually judges others, however these patterns of behavior are a good indication of character. Are the McCains and Palins displaying the character required to exercise the power and duties of their current or hopeful offices with clear authority in an ethical and proper manner?
Do they appear to be committed to the enforcement of the rule of law and the US Constitution?
It does not appear so. I think the next few years will prove very interesting as America continues the painful process of waking to what we have become. The exposure of the truth behind the US government's involvement in the 911 attacks appears imminent on a global scale, with damning new evidence - some in the know speak of photographic proof of undeniable power.
During the truth commission or trials which appear more and more likely to occur we will hear of many disturbing and distasteful events, well beyond the scope of the gutter-like campaign we are currently witnessing. I pray we can have a man or woman of great character and moral strength, like Barack Obama appears to truly be, assisting to guide our nation through this process, not to mention the day to day real world policy changes which are so desperately needed in our country to restore ourselves to our true destiny.
Leaders of insufficient merit at this critical time could well oversee the demise of our republic entirely, or worse. Much worse. Incorrect movement could lead to the deaths of billions, possibly the end of our entire civilization. Can we really gamble that an anger-prone cancer victim backed up by an evangelical MILF have the stuff to guide us through the amazing challenges we face?
Although I am what Fox would call a tin foil whack job way-beyond liberal who doesn't even sneeze to the right, I am proudly pulling for Obama, even though I have many doubts and differences with some of his stated policies. He has shown that he is a man who contains great reserves of strength, wisdom and the qualities of leadership I have been waiting my entire life to see in a presidential candidate.
I fear the McCain campaign is doing everything it can to plausibly claim winning what will be yet another stolen election. Let's give them a show to remember, toss these foolish criminals into the brig, and get to the work of healing our world. What have we got to lose? Everything.
The real nailer here is the repeated undue use of influence by both McCain and his wife and people under their charge in both business and government employ. I am not a person who casually judges others, however these patterns of behavior are a good indication of character. Are the McCains and Palins displaying the character required to exercise the power and duties of their current or hopeful offices with clear authority in an ethical and proper manner?
Do they appear to be committed to the enforcement of the rule of law and the US Constitution?
It does not appear so. I think the next few years will prove very interesting as America continues the painful process of waking to what we have become. The exposure of the truth behind the US government's involvement in the 911 attacks appears imminent on a global scale, with damning new evidence - some in the know speak of photographic proof of undeniable power.
During the truth commission or trials which appear more and more likely to occur we will hear of many disturbing and distasteful events, well beyond the scope of the gutter-like campaign we are currently witnessing. I pray we can have a man or woman of great character and moral strength, like Barack Obama appears to truly be, assisting to guide our nation through this process, not to mention the day to day real world policy changes which are so desperately needed in our country to restore ourselves to our true destiny.
Leaders of insufficient merit at this critical time could well oversee the demise of our republic entirely, or worse. Much worse. Incorrect movement could lead to the deaths of billions, possibly the end of our entire civilization. Can we really gamble that an anger-prone cancer victim backed up by an evangelical MILF have the stuff to guide us through the amazing challenges we face?

written at least 10 letters to the Treasury Department and contributed tens of thousands
of dollars to alcohol industry lobbyists.

Anyone paying any attention to the dirt commonly spread during political campaigns knows about the pill-popping days of Cindy McCain, and the complete lack of even a slap on the wrist in consequence thereof. This is completely typical of the way politicos, celebs, and other "upper-crust" white folks are treated. But being given a given a diplomatic passport to gain further unaccountable access for her dependency through the bad offices of her husband is criminal. This is what should be fully investigated NOW!
Even if the investigation never comes to fruition, as is likely with Mukasey in charge of the DOJ, just being able to hound McCain with questions on this matter might be enough to trigger that well-known temper, and push him enough over the edge so that the electorate can see him for the loose cannon he really is.

what really happened is that mccain said "i'm going to Tampa with the DEA", to investigate first hand some reports of drugrunning. see, it's all a simple error.

And these people want to send you to jail for weed, what hypocrisy! If you are high up in the elite like Cindy or Rush you get nearly zero punative action for thousands of illegally obtained narcotic pain pills. If you are a college student caught with weed you are going to lose financial aid and will get a record both making it impossible to get good work.
