Diane Olson and Robin Tyler, the two women who successfully challenged California's opposite sex marriage requirement, finally got married at the Beverly Hills courthouse after being denied that right for eight years.
New and improved equal matrimony is in such demand that the Los Angeles County registrar has deputized a satellite facility in West Hollywood to issue marriage licenses. The Bilerico Project documents the historic day in words and pictures. Pam Spaulding provides additional political context.
