Blacks Need Radio News, Not Michael Baisden's Slanders

Syndicated radio host Michael Baisden, eager to become kingpin of Jena Six fundraising, launched a slanderous campaign against the many black groups that don't have access to ABC Radio's mega-audience.

These bastards are merely doing Corporate America's bidding. Aren't the American people smart enough by now to figure out what a dreadful mistake it was to deregulate the American media? That is why we are now the most ill-informed, dumbest people on the planet. Thank you, ABC Radio.

Every deficiency the author notes is equally present in media in general. Does the author think whites are any less infuriated by the slanders of Bill O'Reilly?

NeoCon White Racist Media and Anti White Liberal Causes

Deceptive radio and TV media has been devastating to the black community because we have less of an influence or voice in that media. Therefore, it is easier for someone to state a lie describing
Blacks and it go fully unchallenged. NeoCon racist has used that tactic regularly against Blacks and has caused a vicious up rising among White racist against Blacks. The neocons use the same method against White liberals but White liberals are less likely to support Blacks and Blacks are more likely to support White liberal causes. Either way Blacks get shafted. If White liberals and Blacks can get together and put aside their disagreements and support each other, there would be no way the White-Black-racist-Toms can win.

Isn't it Mychal Bell?

Michael Bell, one of the teenagers caught up in the racist Louisiana black roundup...

Kinda lost me with the racist roundup thing. Assault would merit a charge in any context. It was the attempted murder charge that most considered excessive.

Our local "Independent" in Chapel Hill played loose with the facts as well. In their piece, the guy who got trounced was purportedly one of those who hung the nooses.

There's no better way to get folks believin' what you want them to believe than to play loose with the facts, y'know?

Shut Baisden down, I don't think so.

The Jena 6 case is abomination and demonstrates the manifestation of a pathology that still plagues the people of America because they forget their past and present love-hate, subjugation, and parasitic relationship with African Americans. I had heard about the Jena 6 case but I am ashamed to say I forgot. Being Black in America is stressful everyday, every single day, and will cause you to forget a lot of things you ought not. So I for one was happy that Baisden took up the cause, and used the instrument of his celebrity, his voice and the resource of ABC to bring some support to these children, our children, and their families. Some other people wanted to jump aboard, good, but they were Johnny come late lies. Respectfully I say, I had not heard their voices from their websites, or their emails blast, or from impotent National Organizations of ….who collect tons of money for African American causes and who are accountable to who? If I can believe what I saw on the Color of Change website, as well as heard from the Baisden audio, it seems Mr. Bell was mistaken in thinking Color of Change had been given the David Bowie money when it seems the NAACP had been given the money. Mr. Bell asked for himself, and for the other families that ALL those “internet” sites stop collecting money in the names of their children. Baisden did indicate his conversation with one of the principals from Color of Change discomforted him, but I did not hear Baisden make any false statement. Now Michael Baisden can certainly defend himself, but I do feel Mr. Ford’s article was far reaching in his accusations, and words were taken out of context for what purpose I do not know. We have to get it right, we must demonstrate right, be accountable, and refuse to tolerate incompetence no matter the color. Limit Michael Baisden, and put him in his place? If Michael Baisden is running rings around a lot of people and old line organizations- good, and don’t forget it!
