McCain vs. McCain: Let's Go to the Videotape! [VIDEO]

John McCain can argue with John Kerry but he can't argue with the footage of himself from just days ago, or can he?

The video to your right was put together by The Talking Points Memo. They report:

2008 Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain (R-AZ) went on Meet the Press Sunday to debate the war in Iraq with Senator John Kerry (D-MA). And what a show it was. With McCain's deluge of devastating points and dizzying rhetorical takedowns, Kerry was clearly no match. But the real contest was the debate between McCain and videographic evidence of statements made previously in the week. We match the two toe-to-toe, and let the viewer decide the ultimate debate champion
Whenever I see videos like this on YouTube or The Daily Show, I'm always entertained but also infuriated because I don't see why the producers of Meet the Press or the regular evening nightly news seem incapable of pointing out these same inconsistencies. They have access to the same footage yet they stubbornly refuse to take that extra step to show the truth behind the GOP's spin.
