I just saw Sicko last night, and although I went in expecting a bit of a letdown after all the hype I was surprised to find myself profoundly moved and invigorated. One of the things I love most about Michael Moore, is that in spite of the incredibly dark themes of his films and painful thoughts, and memories they stir up, he is ultimately an optimist. In his interview with Larry King, which was infamously postponed so Larry could plumb the depths of Paris Hilton's intellect, he earnestly expresses his belief that the United States will put aside political differences to solve its health care crisis. As he says, "Illness is not Democratic or Republican." Click on the video to your right for more.
