If fashion is all about attitude, how about this one? Complaining that "We will only withdraw this photo from the Spanish market. They're a bit behind the times," Dolce and Gabbana have withdrawn an ad which depicts a man raping a woman.

Eager to see the D&G "rape is the new black" campaign stateside, I combed through the Sunday New York Times "Spring Fashion" magazine.. Racily titled, "Adult Content," I had high hopes that I would locate the rape ad and American hipness would be confirmed. Sadly, all I found Dolce_Gabbana ad was this lousy ad. A man in tightie whities is soooo 2004! What's their excuse is for striking the rape ad from the definitely up-to-the-minute New York market? Could it be that D&G got the memo: no women, anywhere, will accept rape-themed advertising?
