Fox's "24" asked by Military to quit the torture [VIDEO]

A short time ago, "24"'s producers were approached by representatives from the military and human rights groups who attempted to persuade them to stop depicting torture so frequently and in the manner in which they did.

Before 9/11 there were roughly 4 incidents of torture depicted on prime time TV per year, and they were mostly unsuccessful attempts by foreigners. Since then, roughly 100 depictions, mostly by Americans and often to the effect of saving America from disaster.

In the clip to the upper right a former interrogator who used torture himself and a human rights activist discuss their meeting with the producers, torture's success rate, and the future of torture depictions on TV...
