Bush FAILURE in Somalia

Can't even wag the dog successfully...

The day after the US air strikes in Somalia aimed at Al Qaeda members "accused of terror attacks in east Africa," I had a conversation with my step father, a professor in Washington State.

He speculated that the attacks were likely a "wag the dog" scenario -- an attempt to divert attention from the trainwreck in Iraq and the nation's opposition to Bush's imminent plan to throw fresh Americans into the meatgrinder.

Turns out they hit none of their targets, claiming only to have killed 8-10 minor al Qaeda players in the process. "No civilians were killed or injured," they claim.

Sounds like the attack on Zawahiri last year, which killed 12 women and children -- but not Zawahiri (wonder how much good will that created?).

Which leads me to ask how their swiss cheese intelligence informs them that no civilians were killed or harmed in this latest strike?

Which brings us back to Doe, a deer, a female deer... "Doe," in this case would be Iran and Iraq. As in FAILURE. As in more Americans dying...
