George H. W. Bush burst into tears during Jeb Bush's final leadership forum as Governor of Florida. Inexplicably, the former president's voice broke as he described Jeb's loss in the governor's race in 1994. (He went on to win the next time.)

The former president explained that Jeb had some rough times in that race but, "He didn't whine about it, and he didn't complain." With that Bush Sr. burst into tears.

This is a sad clip to watch. The look of anguish on the former president's face is doesn't seem to match the content of his remarks. One can't help but wonder whether Bush Sr. is inwardly comparing Jeb's fortitude to that of his other son, George W. Bush.

"The true measure of a man is how you handle victory, and also defeat," the former president said, before breaking down again.

George Bush, Sr. realizes that the Bush dynasty is over.
