'The FBI has decided to lie...' about Foley emails [VIDEO]

CREW president confronts the FBI...

The emails suggest criminal activity and CREW sent them to the FBI (3 different departments in fact) several months ago, but the FBI did nothing.

So says Melanie Sloan, former prosecutor and current pres of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, in the clip to the right.

For perspective: The NYPD would've launched an online investigation and possible "sting," while the Peachtree P.D. near Atlanta would've issued a subpoena for the email address to find out who the sender of suspicious emails was, in an attempt to prevent any possible crime.

Then comes a peeved Sloan taking the gloves off with a dissembling FBI...

Correction: This post originally identified Peachtree as being "in" Georgia and inexplicably put quotes around it. The correction letter, from reader Cindy Lutenbacher, is worth sharing:

Dear Ones,
How I adore you and read you faithfully...
So, my correction comes with love. On the piece about Melanie Sloan and the FBI lying, your i.d. from Georgia should read "...while the Peachtree City police department near Atlanta..." Peachtree City is a small town near Atlanta, but is not a part of Atlanta. Furthermore, the way that you have used quotation marks suggests that the term "Peachtree" is a nickname for the Atlanta police department. Nay, not so.
