Oh how I wish it were a joke... I just wanna wake up in Kansas. Just once.
Princeton computer scientist Ed Felton, recently featured in this video called "How to Steal an Election," has a pretty little bow to tie up his video and report on Diebold machines.
Because so many of the Diebold problems require a certain working knowledge of computers, he found something new that anyone can understand:
The access panel door on a Diebold AccuVote-TS voting machine — the door that protects the memory card that stores the votes, and is the main barrier to the injection of a virus — can be opened with a standard key that is widely available on the Internet. It's a standard key available anywhere on the internet, according to Felton. "[T]he exact same key is used widely in office furniture, electronic equipment, jukeboxes, and hotel minibars." (FreedomToTinker; HT: TMN)
