In Ephrata Washington a 46-year-old teacher's beard is getting out of hand. Gary Weddle decided not to shave after 9/11 until bin Laden was caught.

That was 1822 days now -- and counting. Having lost Pakistan Bush has fewer cards in his hand.

Ask Gary's poor wife Donita about Bush's failure to capture the man he swore to get 'dead or alive' then didn't worry too much about. Poor thing has to live with that small woodland creature attached to her husband's face. That ain't right.

On the more serious side, of Bush's inability to capture bin Laden Steve Clemons writes:

What got in the way of Bush's plan? Two things -- Dick Cheney and Iraq.
Had Bush stayed on track, shut down bin Laden and gotten to work on redressing some of the bubbling grievances in the Middle East, the world might look substantially different today.
And he points to this blast from the past:

WRL-taxes
