Bush finally explains why he won't attend U.S. soldiers' funerals

It's never been fully explained why Bush doesn't go to military funerals. I mean, he made the decision to send them to war, it's only right that he honor them personally. Some of them. Any of them.
From a Stars & Stripes interview via Edward M. Gomez, the president finally addresses the reason he hasn't been to a single funeral:
Bush, who famously dodged the regular-forces draft during the Vietnam War era, then went AWOL from his National Guard duty post in Texas, said: "Because which funeral do you go to? In my judgment, I think if I go to one I should go to all. How do you honor one person but not another?"Or: There's too danged many! Yeah, like, over 2500 now.
