Remember that sexed up dossier that told us that Iraq could launch a bioweapons attack in 45 minutes? Well, that brilliant marketing strategy is back as the Bush administration pushes for war with Iran. The Bloomberg headline reads: Iran Could Produce Nuclear Bomb in 16 Days, U.S. Says. (Update: Looks like Tim Dickinson at Rolling Stone politics blog was thinking along similar lines.)

Not so fast, says Scott Shields. Utter bullshit, says Steve Gilliard.

But let's not let facts and logic impede a brilliant Republican strategy for the midterm elections. A progressive activist and organizer looks ahead to Iran.
