Downloading 'Daily Show'
Further proof that Apple -- and Jon Stewart? -- are taking over the world: now you'll never have to miss a "Daily Show" again. Yesterday, i-Tunes began selling downloads of Comedy Central's nightly satirical newscapades, "The Daily Show" and "Colbert Report."
But instead of buying the shows one at a time -- the way you can purchase individual, 99-cent songs at the i-Tunes music store -- the savvy Steve Jobs has come up with the Multi-Pass, allowing tv junkies to DL one month's worth of "Daily Shows" (or "Colberts") for $9.99.
Good news, I guess, for funny-lovin' progressives who may have tossed their TVs out the window a few years back… or cable-free folks that still need a frequent "DS" fix. (Of course, you could always do it the old-fashioned way, and ask a friend to tape it for you...Or watch it for free on the internet. Eh, whatever.)
