Cindy returns with some words (audio)
Cindy Sheehan returned to Camp Casey yesterday and followed a Joan Baez song with a moving speech to supporters that went from humorous to sad to pissed off at an unlikely source (all paraphrasing...mp3 for stream or download is here):
*People are trying to smear me, saying that I'm a media whore if I really were a media whore, don't they think I'd go get myself fixed up or something?
*I watched Jon Stewart last night and he remarked on Joan Baez's presence saying that we were probably trying to stop the Vietnam War and I was offended because maybe if we had really stopped Vietnam Iraq wouldn't have happened.
*She noted that unlike the movement to stop the war in Vietnam she would continue to fight after the Iraq war ends to ensure that no mother has to go through what she has gone through.
