I'll take some cheese with my coffee

It's a little too easy to make fun of Bob Dylan for his decision to sell his new old album of The Gaslight Tapes exclusively at Starbucks. He'd already complained that people were remembering him only for his political music. In this enlightening interview from Der Spiegel, Dylan says disingenuously. "The sixties? I never think of that."
I mean, he's a nice guy and all who made some very good music, and his emphasis on lyrics over tune inspired a whole generation, but he never struck me as particularly principled, just odd. Still, I admit I can't wait to see Cate Blanchett (yes, the gorgeous Cate Blanchett) play Dylan in an upcoming move. I kid you not.
And far worthier of coffee-counter consideration is the name of the new all-woman band that Starbucks signed in April. I was hoping for something with a little bit of irony, the Latte Ladies, perhaps. But no, it's Antigone Rising. Sort of a conversation stopper, huh?
