Georgia "Democratic" Senator Zell Miller on John Kerry at the Republican convention Wednesday night:
"For more than twenty years, on every one of the great issues of freedom and security, John Kerry has been more wrong, more weak and more wobbly than any other national figure. As a war protestor, Kerry blamed our military. As a Senator, he voted to weaken our military. And nothing shows that more sadly and more clearly than his vote this year to deny protective armor for our troops in harms way, far-away."Editor's note: While the press is busy with oohs and aahs over Sen. Miller's fiery attacks on John Kerry's military votes in the Senate, it's important to remember that three years ago, Miller introduced Kerry at a dinner in his home state of Georgia, saying that Kerry was "an authentic national hero" who had "strengthened our military." The text of Miller's 2001 speech follows.
