Crip-walking: Gang Symbol or Club Move?

Should the popular stutter-step dance called Crip-walking --performed by Xzibit, Lil' Bow Wow, and former Crip Snoop Doggy Dogg at concerts -- be banned from schools and clubs due to it's gang ties? Or is the dance simply a passing fad?
