We've been so taken and preoccupied with the exciting developments at Occupy Wall Street in New York City, and all over the country, that we neglected to report to you on our fall fundraising campaign. Hundreds of you came through in the clutch and we passed our goal of $52,000 and hit $66,000 with a rush on the last weekend. We also promised to donate a third of what we raised over the last weekend to OWS. That turned out to be $6,000, and it is being used to pay for web hosting for the OWS Web site, which gets a lot of traffic, and inspires people all across the globe.

We have written and assigned many dozens of articles about OWS: you can find them here. Millions have come to AlterNet to read the news about the occupation. We have broken most of our traffic records these past few weeks, and yesterday, we had more than 261,000 "unique" people visit in just one day, according to Google analytics. Not a record, but a sizable number. We will have more than 800,000 unique visitors this week, and more than 3 million during the month -- very large numbers.

Thanks so much for reading, for spreading the word on Facebook and Twitter, and for just plain sending your favorite articles to your friends and colleagues.

Don Hazen is the executive editor of AlterNet.
