Wingnuts Trying to Spark Some Life into Ailing "Birther" Movement

I rejoice at the news.

I think Steve M. at No More Mister Nice Blog is almost always right, but not when he writes of the Birthers that theirs is a movement which "fortunately, seems to be sputtering out."

That's not fortunate -- it's tragic.  Not only did Birthers like Orly Taitz provided hours of wholesome family entertainment, but, more importantly, the whole thing only served to marginalize the dangerously deluded far-right pretty effectively.

Consider for a moment that the corporate media are gradually starting to take the Tea-Baggers seriously, calling them an 'emerging force in American politics.' That wouldn't be happening if they were focused on Obama's birth certificate.

I'd prefer they spend their time hitting their heads against the wall in search of a document that Hawaii state law precludes them from seeing than barraging law-makers' offices with angry calls about issues like health-care.
