...but the montage of people listed as "the enemy" is such a random group as to be almost laughable. Obama I get. But Osama bin Laden, Oprah, Ed McMahon and the CDC?? Bill Gates?? I'm not exactly sure what they are getting at here. Not to mention, I don't think Osama bin Laden is in the US, so isn't directing the message in part to him sort of moot in the first place. I could go on, but really, why waste any more time!

After the SPLC's report over the summer and red meat that conservatives fed teh fringe lunatics, plus the likes of Alex Jones feeding them a daily dose of paranoia.

Two years ago, Code Pink members were arrested for wearing the wrong T-shirts. Now members of Congress (Michelle Bachman) are publicly urging their constituents to arm themselves and overthrow the government, videos like this are posted, and inflamed teabaggers are wearing submachine guns to Presidential events.

During the Bush years, every random street punk that cops didn't like the look of got picked up "under the Patriot Act". Now that the legitimate government of the US is being overtly threatened, law enforcement great and small is looking out the window, whistling nervously, because they don't want to inflame these people further. If that's not terrorism, I don't know what is.

My name is Devon Noll, as many of you may know already. On October 18th I am leaving my home in Washington State to drive 7000 miles across this nation to DC. I plan on arriving on November 3rd to deliver a message to the President and Congress, and I need the help of every normal, sane American to deliver it. This kind of video (the one here which I missed as well) has no place in the public discourse and only leads others to react in fear. What I am planning is meant to counteract this kind of fearmongering and treason.

They used the word "patriot" to describe themselves? Well, my goal is to show them what real patriots look like in numbers so large that they will run in fear - not people waving guns or threatening the lives of our lawfully elected leaders, but rather people who quietly go about their lives until this nation is threatened, either from within or from without; people who want to take part in town halls in a civil manner; people who will not stand down when threats like this appear, but who stand up instead and say "I AM AN AMERICAN AND YOU CANNOT, YOU WILL NOT THREATEN WAR AGAINST ME OR THE GOVERNMENT I ELECTED!

People like those who posted that video are cowards and they have been seen ever since the rise of hate television under Rupert Murdoch and the quasi-dictatorship of Bush and Cheney. The Silent Majority of Americans have dismissed them for years, but now they have tasted "celebrity" and they think that real Americans will not stand up to them. It is time to show them that we will and that we will no longer be told to be afraid or allow our leaders to be cowed into submission.

The only thing these "armed militias" are going to achieve is get themselves killed or imprisoned. The days when a rag tag group of revolutionaries could overthrow a government like ours ended in November 1782 when the Continental Army defeated the British Army in what is known as "The Revolutionary War".

If any group wants to overthrow the U.S. Government they will also have to defeat the entire U.S. military, kill most of our political leaders (from both parties), defeat the CIA (and all their "Black Ops groups), FBI, Secret Service, and all the other related security apparatus in this country. Oh, I almost forgot. Groups like Blackwater, and others, who are employed by the federal government would also have to be defeated.

Then, they will have to deal with most of the people in the U.S. who don't want their brand of liberty. So, again, the most that these groups will achieve is a little publicity, then, be hunted down, killed or imprisoned. Aside from hearing themselves talk and blowing smoke, there isn't much to them.

Granted, there is a lot to bitch about in this country, but, anyone who joins these groups is inviting disaster into their lives.

But, even if they did "win", then what? Who will be their leader? I know. They will probably fight about it the way the Sunni and Shiite do in the Muslim world. And, the beat goes on...
