Today, I came across the following menu:
Cucumbers with garlic and fine herbsBasque chicken thigh with herbs
Red and green bell peppers and olive oil
Couscous
Organic yogurt
Apple
In most parts of the US, that would be described as a gourmet, or near-gourmet meal. In France, it's called government-sponsored school lunch.
