Poor Michael Steele, he can’t seem to do anything right (besides providing a constant stream of fodder for liberal bloggers).

The latest example? Republican state party leaders are outraged that Steele has thus far failed to slander Obama by labeling him a socialist. Instead, Steele has opted for the equally innacurate but far less zingy “collectivist”.

Indiana RNC member James Bopp Jr.  has presented Steele with a petition signed by RNC members from 16 states, asking to hold a meeting in which the RNC will vote on using stronger language to charecterize the Obama administration.

Here’s what Bopp Jr. has to to say,as reported by the Washington Times:

"In just a few months, the goal of the Obama administration has become clear and obvious - to restructure American society along socialist ideals," Mr. Bopp said in summarizing the first resolution.

Just as President Reagan's identification of the Soviet Union as the 'evil empire' galvanized opposition to communism, we hope that the accurate depiction of the Democrats as a Socialist Party will galvanize opposition to their march to socialism,
