New Face of the GOP? Candidate Hates Blacks, Jews, Catholics, Gays and Lesbians, Immigrants, Muslims, etc.

Nobody is spared Pulido's wrath.

The GOP's dwindling base now consists of white, married people who identify themselves as "Christians." In the 2006 mid-terms, that bunch went for the GOP by a 62-38 margin and everyone else voted Dem by an even more decisive 68-32 spread.

The partisan gap between white, married folks who identify themselves as Christian and the rest of the country is growing:

And the problem for the GOP is that while there are a lot of married couples, plenty of people who are white, a lot of folks who call themselves Christian, there are fewer and fewer Americans who share all three traits:

This has a lot of Republicans concerned, but fortunately for them, they've got Rosanna Pulido, a Latina and the GOP's candidate to fill the seat vacated by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.

Pulido, a founder of the Illinois Minutemen, is a charming candidate, refreshingly free of any of that pernicious political correctness, as the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights noted at a news conference today. Some highlights:

The following is a sample of some of the comments that have been posted on FreeRepublic.com by Ms. Pulido under the moniker Chicagolady:

On Mexicans: “I lived in Mexico for a year. I was ripped off the worst by the Bible students. It is so cultural to rip people off they do not see that it is wrong. It’s culture.”

In response to the comment by prairiebreeze:  “Oh I don’t know, those pictures of dozens of men in mosques kneeling on prayer rugs with their heads down low always looks pretty funny to me,” Chicagolady says: “It reminds me of my dog, smelling butts.” Posted on December 29, 2003

Ms. Pulido has also been very vocal on media outlets, town hall meetings and other public venues attacking the Catholic Church. On April 16, 2008, she testified before the Illinois House of Representatives, Executive committee where she said “If the church succeeds in their mission, they will destroy the United States of America.”

Most recently, she attacked the Cardinal. “Cardinal George is responsible for every illegal immigrant who dies while crossing the border coming over here because he is luring them.” (Excerpt from an interview on ABC news on March 21.) http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local&id=6721968

Rosanna Pulido has also attacked viciously the gay community. In a post by Chicagolady dated November 7, 2007. “Face it, its better to be in a meat packing town than in a fudge packing town.” Another post on November 18, 2008: “Great! Now the gays can indoctrinate the other kids who are struggling, they will be told that they have gay tendencies and be lead along like sheep to the slaughter.”

I like this CNN interview from last fall, in which she calls John McCain, “just another politician that acts as if he was elected to represent the Mexican government.”
