GOP Civil War: Rush Limbaugh Calls Eric Cantor Gutless

The real question is this: does Eric Cantor have the guts to stand up and say Rush Limbaugh is wrong?

Rush Limbaugh, the de facto leader of the Republican Party, has called House Minority Whip Eric Cantor gutless. Really, there can be no other interpretation given that Limbaugh said:

The dirty little secret ... is that every Republican in this country wants Obama to fail, but none of them have the guts to say so; I am willing to say it.

... and today we learn from Greg Sargent that:

Limbaugh accused ABC News' George Stephanopoulos of falsely reporting that the GOP leader, Rep Eric Cantor, had differed with him over whether Obama should fail.  [...]

Over the weekend, Stephanopoulos asked Cantor whether the "Rush Limbaugh approach of hoping the president fails" is the approach taken by Cantor and House Republicans. Cantor answered:

George, absolutely not. And I don't -- I don't think anyone wants anything to fail right now. We have such challenges.   [...]

I emailed Rush's producer today for a reply, and got an emailed answer from Rush himself. The talk show host answered that I had been the victim of "misleading information on the ABC website."

"Cantor actually agreed me in his full answer re: policy," Rush continued.
