15 Most Loathsome People of 2008

Limbaugh, Palin, Warren, and more. They're the worst people in America, and unfortunately they dominated last year's headlines.

Charges: The father of modern stupidity, Limbaugh spins reflexively, never struggling with issues, because he knows his conclusion must favor Republicans, and his only task is finding a way to get there. In other words, he may or may not actually believe what he's saying, but it's beside the point. His job is not to say what he thinks, but to instruct his listeners on what they should think. If the facts don't agree, he can always change them, as his "ditto heads" are already armed against the contrary evidence with the all-purpose "liberal bias" attack. "Rush is right," as the slogan goes, and all those nerdy reporters in the "drive by media" are lying, because they secretly love terrorists. It's this creepily worshipful, breathtakingly infantile abdication of intellect to a blatantly dishonest hypocrite that makes Limbaugh's audience so goddamn sad. These pathetic, insecure, failures of men look to Rush as the champion of their impotent rage, helping them to externalize responsibility for their own deficiencies, pinning the blame on those darn liberals and their racial and gender equality.

Exhibit A: You have to marvel at the sheer ignominy of someone who coins the term "Obama recession" two days after the election.

Sentence: Tiny speaker implanted in his inner ear which blares Randi Rhodes 24-7.

5. Dick Cheney

Charges: Still alive. The amount of medical resources devoted to keeping this black hole of decency operational could have cured cancer by now, but if they had, Cheney would make sure to keep it a secret. Since Watergate, Cheney's been fighting to rehab Nixon's image, and he has succeeded in a way, by showing us all just how much worse a presidency can be.

Exhibit A: "It is easy to take liberty for granted, when you have never had it taken from you."

Sentence: Eaten alive by baboons.

4. George W. Bush

Charges: It's hard -- believe us, we know -- to keep coming up with new things to say about this brutally stupid narcissist, who may have ruined this country irrevocably and certainly has ruined a couple of others, mugging amiably all the way. If anything good comes from Bush's reign of error, let it be the death of the notion that vitally important, life or death decisions that affect the entire world should be made with one's "gut." We used to think that incompetence was just a good cover story for this administration, an excuse that masked their deliberate criminality, but it turns out that Bush and his inner circle are both treasonous, corrupt warmongers and inept fools.  One good thing about him, though, is that he has no real interest in politics, and probably won't give a flying shoe what happens to the world when his term is up. As he once put it, ""History, we don't know. We'll all be dead." Here's to George W. Bush being history.

Exhibit A: "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter."

Sentence: Detained in formaldehyde-laced FEMA trailer without charges or counsel, sodomized by Lynndie England, declared guilty by military tribunal, set adrift naked on a small ice floe in the Arctic.

3. Sean Hannity

Charges: This relentlessly repugnant McCarthyite tool really outdid himself this year, in an all-out quest to otherize Obama in any way he could. This paranoid pustule is able to find a liberal conspiracy lurking behind any mundane occurrence, even attributing Obama's selection as Time's Person of the Year, an event as predictable as sunrise, to a pay-to-play scheme. Hopelessly outmatched shill Alan Colmes is finally leaving his role as Hannity's doormat; he will not be replaced.

Exhibit A: "I never questioned anyone's patriotism."

Sentence: Wrongfully convicted of murdering Vince Foster, based on evidence falsified by Jerome Corsi.

2. John McCain

Interesting list of creepy people!

I would add Bill Clinton to that list, because he has shown himself to be a Bush family pal and a stooge for the wealthy elite too. Hillary would be wise to divorce him now.

As that great Scots poet Robbie Burns said, "O a God the gifte ge us to see oursels as others see us." What on earth happened to America ?? Or, why I am so happy being an X. Thank God for Obama, that's what the rest of the world is saying. "Here's to that pesky hope."

This kind of name-calling isn't helpful
Posted by: Nitewriter on Jan 31, 2009 3:08 AM

I think this list is over the top for progressives. It's not helpful for the left to publish invective of this type. How can we credibly complain about people like Limbaugh or Malkin when we utilize the same rhetorical style and angry name-calling. Something more constructive, please.

Education - a cure for evil?
Posted by: sfortuna on Jan 31, 2009 3:49 AM
Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
It's sadly ironic that mere stupidity and narcissism are enough to place one on the 'top evildoers' list. Excepting Limbaugh and Cheney, (the only two capable of conspiratorial evil on a grand scale), the collective IQ of your villains totals 220. The cure for such ignominy could be achieved via a liberal-arts education or at least the intellectual curiosity required to pick up a book. Failing that, a time-out would suffice.

Your list of short bus riders overlooks the very real, pernicious evil inhabiting board rooms, Think Tanks and legislative chambers today. These educated sociopaths are still employed, haunting the halls of power from K Street to Wall Street, undermining the middle class and seeking to turn the USA into a oligarchy on behalf of their employers, complete with for-profit prisons and concentration camps for our 're-education'.

A few that come to mind: Doug Feith, Bill Kristol, William Beach and Ed Meese of the Heritage Foundation, the snake oil salesmen of unrestrained capitalism funded by the American Enterprise Institute, the Federalist Society, what's left of the Olin Foundation, and the people who truly deserve the bullet-behind-the-ear award: Abrams, Podhoretz, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Forbes, Bauer, Bennett and the entire Project for a New American Century cabal.

And somebody explain to me how John Woo and John Ashcroft are not break rocks and wearing orange jumpsuits?

These are not the 15 most loathsome people of 2008, just the public face of corporate mendacity. A shame they can't all share a big, dirt-floor, open-air cell with the 15 most loathsome (and still locked-up) people of 1988; for another 20 years, minimum.

This kind of material is what I love to read - more of it please!

I disagree with lace doily progressives who moan that this kind of story demeans our movement. I for one, and damn tired of having everything I hold dear subject to relentless derision by the overwhelming media voices of the corporate right.

In America only power is respected, not politeness, and well-done ridicule and satire are the greatest rhetorical weapons available to those who haven't well funded think tanks and national radio networks.

Fight back for chrissakes. It's empowering!

After I read many of the comments I say lighten up folks. I’m perhaps more angry than any of of you.
Yet I say cheers for the authors, so many of the lines in the descriptions had me laughing so hard I truly felt pleasant in these trying times. For example Re. Sara Palin, ‘should be disqualified for any position that requires a desk,” What a hoot, I must remember and use that one. The drawing of lieberman is too much. I love it as it’s perfect. Seriously though, we do need a purge and hangings.

Note the accent. The Republicans seem to be working very hard to promote the idea that the GOP isn't just for angry white men and Southerners any more. Wicked soccer-witches from the North are the new face of the right.

What No Paulson & Berneke with their 2 1/2 pg Death threat?
Posted by: Purple Girl on Jan 31, 2009 6:49 AM
Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
God knows this list could go on for decades recounting the SOB's who ruined our country or at the very least are Global embarassments. but to miss these two Stooges is a major oversight.
Paulson had the wherewithall to compose a 2 1/2 pg ransom/Death threat note 6 months prior to the obviously well foreseen economic meltdown. Frankly he and Berneke should be facing economic treason prosecution...foreknowledge and indifference, aka MALICE
Add to that every Repugs who dares fain concern over taxpayers but shows utter disdain for American Workers (FYI WE are One in the Same!!).Then continue to spew the exact same policy 'solutions' which caused this Catastrophe. How dare they call the Obama admin 'socialists' when it has been their policies which have ruined the Free market and debunked the advantages of a Capitolistic ideology. If anyone has brought Socialism to America, it's the Repugs and their Corp masters, by trying to shove a Feudalistic caste system down our throats and killing our economy. The only entity left to pull US out of this is OUR TAX dollars and the Gov't. The Corps are nothing more than 'Welfare Mothers' with logo's!They made their bed, Now Lie in it. nationalize the Banks and Socialize medicine, they have left US no other choice.

All Just Hot Air, Too Bad
Posted by: garcam123 on Jan 31, 2009 6:58 AM
Current rating: 2    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
As interesting and enlightening the article is it makes me realize again that it is all just so much wasted hot air because nothing will ever be done to bring any of those criminals against humanity to justice. The American political system of the Demopublicans are the criminals and the press is their lapdogs. Nothing changes except the faces of those who play the election "game" that is fed to us the powerless constituency. How sad that the Obama "change" is looking like more of the same. Instead of standing up and taking positions of dramatic and effectual changes he and his crowd are the same jokers who brought us to the sad state we are in today anyway.
What more will we sheep allow them to do?
I see a severe worldwide depression on the horizon with the attendant breakdown of social order, even here in the US and the destruction of the States into groups of militaristic survivors, al la The Postman. Welcome to the new world. Thanks Bush

The ones most responsible
Posted by: Bushmaster on Jan 31, 2009 7:03 AM
Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
It was the designation 'You'. And me I suppose.

The American people have lost sight of the ideals that exist and are available in the concept of America.

I would say those ideals have been pilfered from their memory. Like a pick pocket does and when you reach into your pocket your wallet is gone and you don't know where it is anymore.

Who stole America? Who took America from the hearts of the populace and replaced it with what we have today?

I know if congress keeps looking to corporations for a solution there will be no solution. The profit motive creates the problem in the present paradigm of the profit motive.

I have no problem with profit. I have a problem with the way profit surpasses the public good as it has done recently.

New ideas are needed for a new administration.

The Magical President

Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
The Bush Presidency should be known as the disappearing presidency. When the twin towers were hit Bush DISAPPEARED. The Iraq nuclear missiles DISAPPEARED. The CIA tapes of interrigation DISAPPEARED. Bush was nowhere to be found when 'shotgun Cheney' disclosed that Valerie Plame was a (covert) CIA agent which was classified information. When our embassy in Serbia burned Bush DISAPPEARED. Bush's Robber Baron presidency has made our money DISAPPEAR. With Voodoo Economics Georgie has made most of our jobs DISAPPEAR. But what would happen if Bush really disappeared? Can you imagine 'Shotgun Cheney' with his finger on the nuclear trigger? If that were to happen everyone might just DISAPPEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He did manage to APPEAR just long enough to lobby for CORPORATE WELFARE for the international banks. Goodbye Goofball Georgie, have fun in Texass.

Howcome...no one mentions Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice--and of course, Der Karl...

...the creeps who enshrined this madness for eight long years?

I wouldn't worry too much about Sarah (dumber than a sackful of hammers) Palin: "Duh terr'rists come from duh country of Africa"...

...too much remedial sociology to overcome, with that one. I would, rather, be far more concerned with two people--one, that fat junkie Rush Limpbough's nightly spewings; and two, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson of Texas, even now positioning herself as Governor of Texas for the next election.

As we all have seen, the Governorship (of any state with a large electoral amount) is the stepping stone to the Presidency.

Trust me, no one but NO ONE in Texas (except the fascists) still there, wants to see KBH as Governor. That's what the Dems should be focusing on NOW. Governorships across the board--but most especially, here in TX.

Remember, before he stole two National Elections--Bush also, was the Governor of--you guessed it--Texas!

Of all the NeoCONS, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson is one of the most committed, and the failure of all her party's tenets, makes people like herself even more defensive and committed to those same tenets. ("Conservatism didn't fail--it wasn't sufficiently defended by Conservatives") No, KBH didn't say that, not that I know of--but many others are saying it, and that's what they'll be banking on, in 2012.

That, and the woefully short memories of the brutally wronged American People.

Dowload the half-hour mp3: here! (His whole collection is on this page.)

I mention it only partially because it features some of my music.

As with many of you other commenters, I didn't like that Alternet's list of 15 skipped my favorite one from the original 50. In my case, it was the "freecreditreport" scammers. Scooter covers that nicely.

And yeah, Rove, Coulter, Clinton and many others cited above were on the list of 50.

And, one more thing...

Current rating: 4    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
In line with 'woefully short memories', I give you the example of the American People after WWII--when they elected Dwight D. Eisenhower--Republican--as President, in 1952 through 1958.

Actually, Ike's election was fortuitous, in that he was truly a Moderate, and as such hated by the Republican Party. He was, however, a War Hero, and the only Republican who could, as such, stem the Democratic tide that gave America, first Roosevelt, who ended the Repukes' First Great Depression, and then Truman, who successfully (along with the Allies) negotiated the end to WWII.

Ike, (I can't repeat it often enough--hated by Republicans but nonetheless their only hope) gave us the US Highway Interstate System.

Thanks to Ike, and his Freeway System (only now being 'corrected' by Republicans giving Spanish firm Cintras the go-ahead to claim part of Ike's vision of America, for Spain)-- generation after generation of Americans took to the 'newly' opened roads.

This Cintras deal should have been scrubbed. I hate to think of the machinations keeping it going--I live here in TX and most Republicans that I know were dead set against giving any part of our road system away. Nonetheless, Cintras is coming in and a good part of our road system will be Toll'ed starting in 2015, unless Obama (how much can one man do?) comes out against it.

Good luck, Mr. President. The garbage bag who preceded you in the Presidency of the United States of America (I certainly hope that the White House was well fumigated before you and your family moved in) is probably right now, yipping and cawing over the finalizing of the sale of Texas' freeways to a Spanish firm.

Come to think of it...Obama CAN do something about this sellout of the American People's road system in the Great State of Texas: he can sic Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel onto them, and watch all of Cintras run like the scared rabbits that they will (justifiably) become, then.

"Globalization", indeed: I can just see that middle finger of (my longtime hero) Rahm's, pointing in the 'right' direction, LOL!

But...we HAVE to keep voting in the numbers we did, in 2008. Democrats HAVE GOT TO make it to the polls EVERY ELECTION. No matter if there's no sign of NeoCONS for years--they'll always be waiting in the wings, and only a strong and committed American electorate, can keep these wolves from our door forever.

Let's hope.

So, Eric and Allan place Rick Warren on this list, principally, because he believes in God.

I see.

I'm thankful that our Constitution protects and respects both belief and non-belief -- unlike the ignorant and juvenile compilers of this list.

We could make room for two more names -- yours -- except no one cares about you or your ill-informed views.

Sentence: Ignored for eternity.

Michelle Maulkin - you gotta love her! There is no comedian on the planet that can even begin to deliver the sort of bizarre content that this fruitcake comes up with.

And of course, let's not forget that lovable, warm and fuzzy Anne Coulter. Who needs to read Hitler's Mein Kamph, when we have her to fill in the gap with her modern diatribe, picking up where Hitler leaves off.

Folks, you're missing the point here - well, sort of. As I see it, folks on our side of the fence don't really have to browbeat anyone with lugubrious diatribe to explain the obvious.

The aforementioned entities (I'm not exactly sure reference to female humanoids would be the most accurate description) have done a spectacular job of explaining, in their own words, why the far fringe right has finally been put back in their cave . . . well, at least for the time being.

my list from just yesterday

Current rating: 2    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
The good Samaritan, who notified the police, instead of me, that something fell out of my truck!
The state troopers that stalks the roadways in search of prey, and arrested my wife and dad, for failure to appear, when neither one were ever summoned to appear, and dads case, is about fraudulent checks, written by his step son, that stoled his check book, the account was closed in 1996, and as the other times that this has happened to him, his signature is not on the checks thus denied justice!
My drunken buddy that called me 10 times between 4am and 5 am, until I ripped the phone right out of the wall!
My so called good friend of 12 years, that just came in from N.Y., that choose to go chasing pussy, than to help me move a boat, thus keeping my wife, and dad, out of harms way!!!
My good friend of 20+ years, that welshed on buying my cabin 3 times, before he got me in such a bind, that he got it for pennies on the dollar, for I could get the money to buy my wife a job, because of the discrimination of the Salem hippie hunt!!!
My wife's X, who out of greed and jealousy, went to court, though she was not invited to defend herself, to violate her and send her to prison, just two weeks before, her grand opening, of her mini-mall with in a mall, with tattooing, body piercing, the mind machine, to go along with her rock shop, and her junk store, that has not yet shone a profit since October, but was steadily expanding, but now collapsing, right in front of me eyes!!!
Her X employer who fired her because I was running for governor of the Great state of Missouri, when the Mason assassination that was sent to kill me, found out where she worked, when we smoked a peace dubie, and decided not to kill me, just push me over the edge instead...DUBIE VS BLUNT would have been the race of the century, but how DARE I make the war of drugs "TWO-SIDED", and SHE was refused a job any where in Salem Missouri, because she was on probation for back child support, AND DOES NOT GO TO FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, setting her up for failure!!!
So now I just can't leave out X Governor Matt Blunt, and my x-opponent, Representative Jason Smith, who conspired to have me removed from the ballot in the middle of the election for state rep. in '06, and resubmitted it in '07 after it was found to be unconstitutional the first time that they slid it in, as an attachment, elections mean nothing if the ruling elite can eliminate their competition at the stroke of a pen, for a prior act of servitude, of which in it's self is unconstitutional!!!
And that brings up the crack staff, and policies of the Department of corruption, who gave my wife a year in jail just for loving a Dubie, just two months before her probation for a misdemeanor was over, she turned down two years of probation without me and took the year to keep me, then they tried it again, but failed, but they took her away again, anyway they could!!!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, BY ANY MEANS WOULD BE ANGIE DUBIES MOTHER, WHO FOR OUR WEDDING PRESSENT, TOLD HER THAT SHE WOULD PAY $250.00 OF HER CHILD SUPPORT EACH MONTH, AND VOWED THAT SHE DID IT EACH AND EVERY MONTH, BECAUSE MY DISIBILITY CHECK, COULD NOT COVER HER BILLS, WE HAD IT DOWN TO $5,000, NOW IT IS BACK UP TO $10,000, I THINK THAT THEY ARRESTED THE WRONG PERSON, BUT IT'S LEGAL TO LIE, CHEAT AND STEEL, THAT IS WHAT THE GOVERNMENT TEACHES US BY EXAMPLE!!!

No one on your list, has directly effected my life in any way visible, but these are invisible people, brought to you in the name of mediatainment, to get you to look away from the evil that is right in your face daily, maybe these invisible leaders on your list are responsible for the visible people, we are lead by example, and what hell of an example, is set for us to follow, by the media, and our own supposed government, church leaders, business leaders...
With common degrees of nobility, purchased from the universities!!!

Four revealing documentaries on Sarah Palin

During the election we were worried that Palin might become VP through people believing her populist message without looking deeper into what she was really about. We got together a small group of media producing friends and went to Wasilla, Alaska to make a documentary on Palin through interviews with people in her community. We ended up making four, as one doc couldn't contain what people wanted to express: it turned out that people in her hometown were equally alarmed by Palin's rise to national prominence as we were (if not more so). It's important to remember how close the election really was.
Here they are, in case she hits the national scene again:

Silly question; of course you do. Anyway, he surrounded himself with the same kind of vermin bush did. They both scoured the bottom of the cesspool to find enough losers and crazies bad enough to make themselves look good in comparison. They were both so thoroughly evil, that many of their respective citizens simply couldn't believe anyone could be so bad, and that they therefore must be good. At least hitler got what he deserved; it remains to be seen if bush does.

The Buffalo Beast

Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Charges: in a transparent attempt to show how unbiased they are, they prominently include people like Barack Obama, John Edwards, Eliot Spitzer and Jeremiah Wright on their "loathsome" list. That this forces them to equate, say, torture or the starting of wars, with private affairs that don't regard us, like infidelity, or with mere wrong opinions (true, true, Jeremiah Wright was not always right), is no problem: they apply the generally applicable rule on Democratic and Republican sins. (Namely, multiply liberal wrongdoing by 100, and divide conservative wrongdoing by 100; then compare the weighted sins. If a Democratic fart doesn't yet seem worse than a Republican murder, adjust the scales further.) Subsidiary charge: they either don't know the difference between "loathsome" and "subject to criticism on certain points", or their moral compass is far off.

Exhibit A: (speaking of Caroline Kennedy): "“I’ve spent a lifetime growing up around public policy issues.” Her dad died when she was 5." (Anyone who sees why the death of her father would preclude her growing up around public policy issues, is invited to apply for a job at the Bush Memorial Library. Sorry, the slot at the Iraqi stock exchange is no longer available.)

Sentence: to be kept away from blogs until they come up with mathematical proof that four strawberries do, indeed, weigh as much as a thousand watermelons.

The Dollar Bill with Greenspan's Picture is inappropriate and anti-semitic.

It seeks to villify all Jews with a demonizing image of Greenspan as if he is in complete control of the US economy which is far from the actual truth. The Fed is also not responsible for the current crisis which was caused by global capital markets, three decades of tax cuts for the rich, long term economic stagnation, financialization, deregulation and growing economic inequality in America.

list but I sure can't think of anyone to take off. I can think of additions. You could argue that they should be in 16th place.

I'm going to give you an argument to put Alan Greenspan on the list. He once said that when he heard that Bill Clinton was going to try to pay off the national debt that he knew that he had to do something about it. Bill Clinton knew that when the economy booms, you pay off the debt. That way when the economy tanks it is a short trip to borrow the money to fix it.

You might not wish to put Greenspan in 16th place. I'm willing to try to argue that it was Greenspan that encouraged the RNC allow a fiscal nut like George Bush to get into power. Greenspan blew the whistle, Wall Street responded, and they engaged their political arm, the RNC. Am I wrong? I don't know. I do know that I am right about the Greenspan quote. I heard it myself.

I never heard of half these people. Loathsome? Pathetic, some of them, but hardly merely disgusting. How about Mugabe as number 1, or Tony Blair, or Binyamin Netanyahu, or Olmert, or Mikheil Saakashvili? Madoff is just a schmuck. Palin is just a poor little girl wanting to be rich and accepted, hardly loathsome. No, this list is a very poor one. Bad judgment on the author's part. Not worth reading.

While I agree all of these people are pond scum, I have to wonder what is to be gained by attacking a persons religion. There are quite a few people of various faiths who support various Liberal causes, so to alienate them with attacks on their beliefs seems stupid and a way to alienate them. I personally find attacks on religion offensive, much like attacks on race. It is these sort of comments like "make-believe space-giant" make me wonder if the average Liberal intellectual is trying their best to alienate any Religious minded person with Liberal sympathies. Good list, but shame on resorting to these sort of attacks that hurt your allies as much as your enemies.

Obama and Clinton dominated if you're talking just volume and not the perjoratives. With the exception of Bush and Palin it strikes me that none of the other 15 mentioned exactly dominated the coverage..though Addington, Cheney and the other criminals SHOULD have and were it not for a brain dead media and gutless congress we'd have several court convictions of the aforementioned. I think the author wanted to puff up the piece a bit with the "dominated" to make it seem dramatic.

The list can easily grow. The unnamed and unseen losers could populate a large city. We will as usual clean up their mess. Why waist any more energy naming and grinding through the liteny of their stupidities? Remember, we all got to watch the drama unfold and then flop.

We have things to do to right the ship. Let's think on, talk about, and DO those things. Maybe we won't get it all right this time around. But, maybe we will have fewer dumb butts on premises the next time we crest the wave.

Cheers

Reading this article, in which the authors revel in rage and seething hostility toward conservatives, as well as the comments to it in which many of the posters express a desire to see all conservatives die grisly deaths, I become more and more committed to the goal of dissolving the U.S. as it currently exists. It'a like what Warren Beatty said to Dyan Cannon in "Heaven Can Wait" -- "I don't love you, and you don't love me, so why don't we get a divorce?"

We're the Shi'as and the Sunnis, the Tutses and the Hutus, the Hatfields and the McCoys, oil and water -- whatever analogy your prefer. The U.S. of A is dead. It's time for a amicable dissolution.

Where is this protector of child molesters and holocaust deniers on this list? In terms of homophobia and threatening reproductive rights he is much worse than Warren. He is currently engaged in a battle against the Italian state on the right to refuse therapy (which apparently applies only to popes such as John Paul II). I know that a 'Most obnoxious" list will have to be somewhat arbitrary (for example I could also ask about Coulter), but Ratzinger's omission is pretty serious.

CHARGES: Including some decent (as well as obnoxious) people on their "loathsome" list.
Using perjoritave words that also verbally target innocents (and thus following in the footsteps of Imus, Warren, Savage, etc.)

EXHIBIT A: Inclusion of people such as Barak Obama, John Updike on list. Some ignorant words: "The author... of UNHINGED could loose her f**king marbles..." and "... she sounded the nutbar clarion call." (from Michelle Malkin entry)

SENTENCE: Carefully read entry 43 in "Full List"

The Only Solution Is For Mums To Stay Home and Look After Their Babies Themselves
Posted by: tony_opmoc on Feb 1, 2009 4:07 PM
Current rating: 1    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Or for their husbands to stay at home and use their Wife's expressed Breast Milk from the Night Before whilst she is at work

Babies are INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT

Babies Really Need to be completely Loved and Talked To an Cuddled By Their Parents

And Feel Completely Loved

Because Babies Grow Up

And Learn To Walk and Do Other Far More Complex Stuff

If Babies Feel Completely Loved There is an Exceedingly Good Chance That They Will Grow Up Into Nice Human Beings and Be Nice To People Throughout Their Lives.

All problems need to be addressed at source or better still just live a Good life and it will all happen naturally

Just accept that you are incredibly lucky to even be aware of your own existence

Be happy to be alive - and take a look at that georgeous Baby over there who is babbling at you

And then work Really Hard when you grow up - such that you can provide all the love you got from your parents to your Children

You may not have fully realised but you have been incredibly HORRIBLE

You have killed amd dismembered Several Million People in Iraq

And we joined in too

We will get Tony Blair on Trial for War Crimes Against Humanity

But that doesn't fix the Carnage WE have caused in Iraq

To understand how completely disgusting we are

Our human civilisation had Thousands of Years of History on Display in Museums in Iraq - Kept Perfectly Safe By All Iraqi Governments and in Good Order by The Former Invaders of Iraq (including us English)

And You FUCKING AMERICANS Are Completely DISGUSTING

All You Did is Protect "YOUR" OIL

Well It Ain't "Your" FUCKING OIL

And You Are Going To Receive The Results Of Your Actions

It's Karma Police

Bye

There is only one way out to salvation

You have got to stop being horrible and start being Nice and rebuild all the infrastructure you have destroyed working under Iraqi control

And that is just a start

You have also got to get on your Knees, Bow Down and Say

SORRY

The people of Vietnam and Cambodia have nearly forgiven you already - God knows Why?

You are Such Evil Cunts

with his Girlfriend in his little MGF sports car with very little warm clothing about 5 miles away from home

It is incredibly cold and the snow is now several feet thick

And so I keep phoning him up and telling him to turn his engine on and bring some warmth into his car

And keep telling him don't try and make a run for it

Just stay where you are in your car

I know what cold is like - they would be dead in less than an hour if they tried to walk home in this

He said we are O.K. and will wait till morning

But I just have to keep phoning him up to keep telling him to start the engine

Cold is fierce and it can just take your life away in your sleep

Sometimes you have just got to stay awake to survive

I Love Him

The Sentence for Rush Limb... addendum

Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Sentence: For Limbaugh
His sponsors go bankrupt and cannot pay even a tenth of what his contract calls for.
He like all the other underpaid members of society, has a lot of debt. Especially to his new Mexican/Canadian doctor who promised to maintain his pharmaceutical needs under the radar. (Gotta love that new Global economy) I mean come on the guy is in pain.
But no one comes forth to give him that safety net,. gotta be true to the RNC, everyone for himself everything is business as usual Darwinian cult. George said he felt betrayed.
Multi million-dollar debts, even to his pusher, Rush finds himself living next to Karl Rove and Condelisa Rice, in a government row house right next to the most desperate over flowing homeless shelter, not to far from Cheney’s bunker, right here in DC.

"1. Sarah Palin

Charges: If you want to know why the rest of the world is scared of Americans, consider the fact that after two terms of disastrous rule by a small-minded ignoramus, 46% of us apparently thought the problem was that he wasn't quite stupid enough."

I admit it.. I came really close to peeing myself when I read this. This is a very humorous article, yet sad in a way when you think about the fact that a society that was really concerned with surviving would have ejected all of of these nutbags before they could have gotten to the place of causing the problems that they have.

You forgot the Democratic Congress-namely Nancy Pelosi who betrayed her oath of Office to "protect & defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC". Her absolute refusal to bring IMPEACHMENT HEARINGS against BUSH/CHENEY was a SELL-OUT and a disgrace. She should be removed from the Congress and definitely from her Chairmanship. She has aided and abetted the WORLD'S WORST CRIMINALS and is responsible for the USA's current loss of credibility worldwide.

'Gay-sounding Saddleback Church'?

Saddleback Church, like many other entities in the area (such as my high school alma mater), is named after nearby Saddleback Mountain. The mountain is so named because it resembles a horse saddle from a distance.

The author is thus guilty of making a homophobic comment. Since when is naming a mountain after its resemblance to a horse saddle "gay-sounding"?

Perhaps the author of the article believes that horses are inherently homosexual. I'd say he more likely has a heavy bias and an obsession with homosexuality.

Bill Clinton - NAFTA and deregulation (not to mention 9/11)
Blogo - it all started in 2008.
Spitzer - what can I say..
Al Fraken - a crook
Madoff - not much to add except he was a dem supporter
George Bush - heart in the right place - head in the wrong place
McCain - he should have been president but poor take on economy and threw Palin to the liberal dogs!

Sorry, I am not impressed. For the most part, you just picked symbols. While I have no use for Palin, she is not important enough for the number 1 spot. A far more useful list would be those behind the scenes who pull the strings. Most of these front line entertainers have amusement potential, but I want to know who is in the back room selling out my future.

All Just Hot Air, Too Bad

Thanks Bush

Goodbye Goofball Georgie, have fun in Texass.

...the creeps who enshrined this madness for eight long years?

Posted by: jvaljon1 on Jan 31, 2009 8:44 AM

Let's hope.

They were both so thoroughly evil, that many of their respective citizens simply couldn't believe anyone could be so bad, and that they therefore must be good. At least hitler got what he deserved; it remains to be seen if bush does.

I'm proably one of a handful of conservatives who enjoy reading alternet. However; when articles like this are written, I begin to understand why there is so much polarization in this country. I could name as many leftwing/communist/socialist (pick the label you would like to use) who are only interested in obtaining as much power and wealth as those portrayed on this list. "Be careful what you ask for, you just may get it, and when you do "get it" will you recognize it for what it is?

Dominated? Wrong verb.

The eight worst, fifteen lousiest, and a partridge in a pear tree.
Enough.

Cheers

Ever since the election, right wing die-hards have become more and more unhinged. The comments posted here present a pretty fair cross-section. "You hate Warren because he believes in God!" "Easy to insult successful people!" "Clinton should be on the list!" "Israel, too!" "Stop name-calling!" (Love that one, coming from Republicans. Too bad they are blind to the concept of irony.)
Almost feel sorry for each and every irrelevant, friendless, failed one of 'em. Almost. Can't you hear it?

The likes of Limbaugh, and all the rest of the jokers on this list, were given enormous attention in media precisely because the news media are run by people of the same kind. Media are run by elitist gangsters and the worst anti-democratic elements in our society.

This list is a joke even for ranking surface felons hired to push Police State policy.

Of course the real malfactors never make the list. The people behind Obama's handler Rubin and "Bubbles" Greenspan who promoted the derivatives crash are safe behind the curtain as ever.

Ain't we got fun.

We need a divorce

Where is Ratzinger?
Posted by: g on Feb 1, 2009 8:11 AM
Current rating: 4    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Where is this protector of child molesters and holocaust deniers on this list? In terms of homophobia and threatening reproductive rights he is much worse than Warren. He is currently engaged in a battle against the Italian state on the right to refuse therapy (which apparently applies only to popes such as John Paul II). I know that a 'Most obnoxious" list will have to be somewhat arbitrary (for example I could also ask about Coulter), but Ratzinger's omission is pretty serious.

"Most obnoxious people IN AMERICA". Given that Ratzinger calls his church 'universal' (Catholic), I think he still qualifies, but anyway...

Tony

Tony

My 20 Year Old Son Has Been Stuck in a Snowdrift For The Last 6 Hours

with his Girlfriend in his little MGF sports car with very little warm clothing about 5 miles away from home

I Love Him

Tony

The Sentence for Rush Limb... addendum
Posted by: antu on Feb 1, 2009 6:49 PM
