Virtually the Entire Dem-Controlled Congress Supports Israel's War Crimes in Gaza

Congressional leaders are advancing a radical view of international law that would allow powerful countries to get away with war crimes.

In a direct challenge to the credibility of Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the International Red Cross and other reputable humanitarian organizations, an overwhelming bipartisan majority in both houses of Congress has gone on record supporting President George W. Bush's position that the Israeli armed forces bear no responsibility for the large and growing numbers of civilian casualties from their assault on the Gaza Strip.

As of this writing, at least 400 civilians have been killed by Israeli forces, primarily using U.S.-supplied weaponry.

Shattering hopes that an expanded Democratic congressional majority and a new Democratic administration might lead to a more moderate foreign policy, the resolutions put forward an extreme reinterpretation of international humanitarian law, apparently designed to exonerate nations with superior firepower from any liability for inflicting large-scale civilian casualties.

The Senate resolution, primarily written and sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., passed the Senate by unanimous consent on a voice vote. Among the 33 co-sponsors were such otherwise liberal Democratic senators as Barbara Boxer, Calif,; Richard Durbin, Ill,; Carl Levin, Mich.; Sherrod Brown, Ohio; Barbara Mikulski, Md.; and 2004 presidential nominee John Kerry, Mass.

An even stronger House resolution, sponsored by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., passed the House by a lopsided 390-5 roll call vote (with 22 members voting "present"). Both resolutions placed the blame for the death and destruction exclusively on the Palestinian side and are being widely interpreted as a rebuke to the international human rights community and the United Nations, which have cited both Hamas and the Israeli government for war crimes.

The resolutions favorably quote Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice extensively, as well as Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, regarding responsibility for civilian deaths and for the causes of the conflict. No one else is cited in the resolutions, indicating who Pelosi, Reid and the resolutions' other sponsors see as the authoritative sources of information on international humanitarian law in the region.

Although some analysts are already referring to the Gaza war as "a final and eloquent testimony to the complete failure of the neoconservative movement in United States foreign policy," Pelosi, Reid and virtually the entire Democratic membership of Congress have decided to ally themselves with this failed ideology of the outgoing Bush administration rather than blaze a new trail of moderation and common sense in anticipation of new leadership in the White House. Indeed, Pelosi's and Reid's strategy in pushing through these resolutions may have been part of an attempt to box in Obama -- to force him to continue Bush's hard-right foreign policy. That is, a policy in which, in the name of the "war on terror," fundamental principles of international law are deemed to be expendable.

To the Right of Bush

Some of the language in the resolution put forward by Pelosi, Reid and their colleagues even place the Democratic Party to the right of the Bush administration. For example, while the Jan. 8 U.N. Security Council resolution -- which received the endorsement of Rice and other administration officials -- condemns "all acts of violence and terror directed against civilians," the congressional resolution only condemns the violence and terror of Hamas.

Indeed, just as the Security Council unanimously passed its resolution stressing "the urgency of and calls for an immediate, durable and fully respected cease-fire, leading to the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza," Congress immediately weighed in with language apparently designed to prevent one. The Senate and House resolutions called for a cease-fire only on the condition that it "prevents Hamas from retaining or rebuilding the capability to launch rockets and mortars against Israel." Given that most of these rockets and mortars are of a rather crude design that can be made in local machine shops from scrap metal and other easily obtainable materials, and is therefore the kind of capability that can not really be completely eliminated, it appears that this clause would make a cease-fire impossible.

Emboldened by this strong bipartisan support from the legislative branch of its most important ally, Israel rejected the U.N.'s terms for a cease-fire.

Also on Jan. 8, Israeli forces killed two U.N. humanitarian aid workers as they were attempting to provide relief supplies, and the International Red Cross released a strongly worded statement noting that the Israeli military had "failed to meet its obligation under international humanitarian law to care for and evacuate the wounded." The Nobel Prize-winning humanitarian group Doctors Without Borders noted that "Palestinian humanitarian aid and health workers have been killed, and hospitals and ambulances have been bombed."

Another example of why Obama does not want to investigate Bush's war crimes: he will have to reckon with his own party's complicity every step of the way, including the vice-president-elect's sham hearings on Iraq's weaponry.

I understand why Obama is more interested in the future than the past. However, if he refuses to acknowledge the present, the future will only grow bleaker.

The Green Party of the United States called, in 2005, for a boycott and divestment campaign against Israel over their criminal treatment of the Palestinians. We also call, in our platform, for a one-state solution based on secularism and equality for all.

Given the Democratic Party's utter adherence to AIPAC and the depth of hatred building against Israel, I see little hope of either happening soon. But if you want to join a party that advocates for justice in the Middle East and everywhere else, check out www.gp.org.

I've treated the injured under fire and been arrested and nearly executed for it. So when I see my colleagues in Palestine, both expats and Palestinian, working around the clock and in danger to save lives while Israel uses US weaponry to extinguish lives, I marvel at the diametric opposition of ethical principles.

It's almost invariably the most devout Christians and Jews who advocate wholesale slaughter, and usually irreligious people who support peace.

Our government tells us its objective is to eliminate terrorism, but who can doubt that the carnage in Gaza juxtaposed with its gleeful endorsement by our government will swell the ranks of angry young men seeking revenge?

Our Congress has endorsed the rule of law: the law of the jungle, red in tooth and claw. As the Athenians told the Melians, "The strong do what they will, and the weak endure what they must."

This isn't new. Both the US and Israel have long been scofflaws and hypocrites. A look at human rights treaties reveals that they are usually in the company of regimes they otherwise deplore.

Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Jaamat Islamia and Hamas must be absolutely giddy at the public relations and recruiting coup we have handed them.

I continue to be astounded by "liberals" who treat bomb and rocket attacks against Israelis as justice, while condemning Israeli retaliation. There were 2117 deaths at Pearl Harbor; to accept the peculiar calculus of anti-Israelites, U.S. was morally bound to terminate its War against Japan after the first 2117 deaths.

Poles last land to Russia in the aftermath of WWII yet we don't hear of Polish suicide bombers. Germans lost land. Etc., etc. etc. Only the Palestinians have adopted bloodlust as their guiding philosophy; why is this so attractive to "liberals"?

America has opened up two illegal wars against Iraq and Afghanistan. The US has blatently forced regime change of other countries, covert or overt, for the last 110 years since the Spanish American War. Until the chambers or Congress, Senate and the Executive Office are cleaned out, America's underbelly is a filth ridden hidden government working for the special interests on K street and the department of defense is anything but.

Obama must flush out criminals from the last executive office or he becomes nothing better than what was their previously. We must take the log out of our own eyes before we pick out the twigs from other nations. Otherwise, America is nothing but a nation led by hypocrites.

I've been waiting -- and waiting -- for this observation and raging at my Congressional reps, recently all turned blue. However, I voted Green whenever possible -- am proud to say.

On UK Channel 4 News last night it showed an amazing sequence of events which clearly demonstrates how Israel is in control of the US Government.

Early Friday morning the secretary of state was considering bringing the cease-fire resolution to a UNSC vote and we didn’t want her to vote for it.” Olmert said. “I said ‘get President Bush on the phone.’ They tried and told me he was in the middle of a lecture in Philadelphia. I said ‘I’m not interested, I need to speak to him now.’ He got down from the podium, went out and took the phone call.”

A beaming Olmert then described telling President Bush “the US cannot possibly vote in favor of this resolution,” and spoke with pride of how embarrassed US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was at having to abstain from voting for a resolution she helped to organize and gather support for. The US abstention shocked diplomats, and made it easier for Israel to dismiss the ceasefire out of hand. At the time of the vote Rice declared that the United States supported the draft but could not vote for it because of their “special relationship” with Israel. Just days later Rice too was lashing out at the resolution as “unacceptable.”

It's quite clear that Israeli control of US Politicians extends far beyond the Bush administration - and they have got something on nearly every individual US politician.

What exactly is it?

Why do US politicians put the interests of the Zionist Israeli Government before the interests of American people?

I am extremely puzzled how this "shitty little country (in French)"
has such enormous influence that the entire US Government are scared shitless of them.

Sure they are evil bastards - but are there no US politicians that have got the courage to stand up to such evil?

Mr. Zunes designation of Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) actions in Gaza as war crimes is unwarranted.

Hamas has placed its rocket launchers, troop cantonments, training facilities and other facilities needed to support its military operations in densely populated residential areas.

Hamas has deliberately placed these installations in these neighborhoods to use its civilians as human shields from the IDF.

Hamas seeks to gain victory over the IDF through the human sacrifice of civilians inadvertently killed by IDF combatants rather than through direct engagement with them militarily.

Hamss has cynically placed the Palestinean people in the path of IDF attacks. The IDF attacks are the response to unrestricted rocketing of Israeli residential and agricultural areas by Hamas.

Hamas are sacrificing the Palestinean people in the hope that world public opinion will force the IDF to restrict its operations and give Hamas the victory it cannot gain otherwise.

Can anyone think that the Hamas military leadership, which has placed Palestinean children in the path of IDF rockets will show any restraint in other matters?

The Hamas leadership, which has placed its own people under IDF guns, should not be given a victory for it. Instead, public opinion should urge them to take the path Sinn Fein took in the Irish struggles.

Hamas should be urged to renounce its armed wing, to cease fire unconditionally, and participate in negotiations with Israel as a responsible part of the Palestinean government.

It doesn't take a math genius to figure out that as the the majority of Congress represents the majority of people, then the majority of people support the policies and standards of the majority of Congress, otherwise they would be hawking their policies of appeasement on the street corners or on the Internet. Radical forums in the early days of Blogs were called BBS (Bulletin Board System), but today the initials mean something altogether different. Can anyone guess what they might be? If anyone needs a clue, the second initial stands for BULL!

US dictates the policy in ME: Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia all must accept the decree of their patron-saint the US.

Congress supports Israel because Congress IS the one dictating Israel to attack Lebanon, Palestinian ghettos.

Don't expect a change unless you are willing to throw ought every single bum from the Congress.

This is what happens when there is no fear of accountability by those who broke the law and went along with the Bushites, neocons, and the Far Right. The taste of blood got into their water and they liked it-- The smell of new blood, blown apart bodies, women and children being slaughtered is their new rush. They are not listening to the voters and their moral compass has been shattered. Obama must take a stand against this madness and bring it to an abrupt halt.

Whether it's by their refusal to confront Israeli aggression and duplicity or their reluctance to prosecute financial and war criminals in their own country, the continuing lack of courage exhibited by the democratic party is clear evidence that their recent victories were more about power than about a vision for the future. Unless they can face the current issues, their flirtation with power in Washington could be a short one.

"Concerns about Israel’s use of non-conventional and experimental weapons in the Gaza Strip are growing, with evasive comments from spokesmen and reluctance to allow independent journalists inside the tiny enclave only fuelling speculation.

The most prominent controversy is over the use of shells containing white phosphorus, which causes horrific burns when it comes into contact with skin. Under international law, phosphorus is allowed as a smokescreen to protect soldiers but treated as a chemical weapon when used against civilians.

The Israeli army maintains that it is using only weapons authorised in international law, though human rights groups have severely criticised Israel for firing phosphorus shells over densely populated areas of Gaza.

But there might be other unconventional weapons Israel is using out of sight of the watching world.

One such munition may be Dime, or dense inert metal explosive, a weapon recently developed by the US army to create a powerful and lethal blast over a small area.

The munition is supposed to still be in the development stage and is not yet regulated. There are fears, however, that Israel may have received a green light from the US military to treat Gaza as a testing ground.

“We have seen Gaza used as a laboratory for testing what I call weapons from hell,” said David Halpin, a retired British surgeon and trauma specialist who has visited Gaza on several occasions to investigate unusual injuries suffered by Gazans.

“I fear the thinking in Israel is that it is in its interests to create as much mutilation as possible to terrorise the civilian population in the hope they will turn against Hamas.”

Gaza’s doctors, including one of the few foreigners there, Mads Gilbert, a Norwegian specialist in emergency medicine working at Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City, report that many of the injuries they see are consistent with the use of Dime.

Wounds from the weapon are said to be distinctive. Those exposed to the blast have severed or melted limbs, or internal ruptures, especially to soft tissue such as the abdomen, that often lead to death.

There is said to be no shrapnel apart from a fine “dusting” of minute metal particles on damaged organs visible when autopsies are carried out. Survivors of a Dime blast are at increased risk of developing cancer, according to research carried out in the United States.

Traditional munitions, by contrast, cause large wounds wherever shrapnel penetrates the body.

“The power of the explosion dissipates very quickly and the strength does not travel long, maybe 10 metres, but those humans who are hit by this explosion, this pressure wave, are cut in pieces,” Dr Gilbert said in a recent interview.

This is not the first time concerns about Israel’s use of Dime have surfaced in Gaza. Doctors there reported strange injuries they could not treat, and from which patients died unexpectedly days later, during a prolonged wave of Israeli air strikes in 2006.

A subsequent Italian investigation found Israel was using a prototype weapon similar to Dime. Samples from victims in Gaza showed concentrations of unusual metals in their bodies.

Yitzhak Ben-Israel, the former head of the Israeli military’s weapons development programme, appeared familiar with the weapon, telling Italian TV that the short radius of the explosion helped avoid injuries to bystanders, allowing “the striking of very small targets”.

The Israeli human rights group B’Tselem has recorded numerous occasions when the Israeli army has fired flechette shells, both in Lebanon and Gaza. The shell releases thousands of tiny metal darts that cause horrible injuries."

I was concerned when Obama first mentioned Hillary as a candidate for Sec fo State that we would be disappointed and not see any Obama Change towards the Middle East. And in her hearings yesterday she confirmed my worst fears. She refuses to even consider talking with Hamas.

Will we never learn what it takes to be a help in this world rather than a problem? What do all these Congresspeople say when asked the simple question "Why does the rest of the world not agree and even despise the US position on Israel's illegal activities?"

It's times like that this that I am ashamed to be an American.

I don't consider the bombing by Israel of Gaza problem. Palestine should have taken care care of Hamas when they had the chance. Hamas is a tarriest organization. Its unfortunate that they are not all in one spot so Israel could level the place.

Here is the US Code that defines terrorism. If you want to look it up on your own, google 18USC2331. For those who don't know what the US Code is, it is the laws of the US. So, here it is.

2331 Definitions

As used in this chapter—
(1) the term “international terrorism” means activities that—
(A) involve violent acts or acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State, or that would be a criminal violation if committed within the jurisdiction of the United States or of any State;
(B) appear to be intended—
(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
(ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or
(iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and
(C) occur primarily outside the territorial jurisdiction of the United States, or transcend national boundaries in terms of the means by which they are accomplished, the persons they appear intended to intimidate or coerce, or the locale in which their perpetrators operate or seek asylum;

I don't know about you but it's pretty obvious that what Israel is doing constitutes International Terrorism according to US Law.

Israel pamphleted homes in Gaza telling people to find safe haven. Many of them fled to UN schools and hospitals believing that they would be relatively safe there. Then they bombed a school - killing over 40 civilians - initially claiming that they came under fire. THEY LATER RECANTED THAT CLAIM - it was a lie, there as no fire. The Israeli army targeted aid workers and humanitarian organizations, putting fear into the hearts and minds of anyone wanting to help the Palestinians. They will not stop until every man woman and child has been killed, which I am sure will go over well in other Muslim states. The US is the only nation not condemning Israel's actions, and they can't. If Israel is guilty of war crimes under the Geneva Convention, which one could argue they are, so is the US. We have supplied the munitions, the white phosphorus and other experimental weapons. The MSM needs to point out that there is a difference between the Hamas militia and the democratically elected Hamas party. They are not the same entity, and whatever popular support there is for Israel's war of expansion of the territory they already control (occupied Palestine as I have called it for years) would hopefully dwindle if actual facts were presented instead of the pick and choose 1984 media project.

Zunes says that the Hamas rockets are crude, homemade devices. Most reporters have said that the more sophisticated missiles, which are now landing in Israel's schools and shopping malls, are supplied by Iran.

Zunes might make a more credible argument if he got his facts straight.

First, expecting negotiations when rockets and mortars are incoming by the writer and some posters is absolutely absurd. Hamas well knows this action is just plain WRONG! It shows pure hate on their part.

Second, Now, with respect Palestine there is a scripture all should consider, 1 Peter 3:11, "Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it." (Authorized King James Bible; AV).

But neither the Ishmaelites - Hamas, nor the Hebrews - Israelites are considering it. Strange as they are both descendants of Abraham, one by Ishmael and one by Issac.

Now, even though the Ishmaelites control over 98% of the Middle East, they are greedy for the less than 2% of the Middle East belonging to their brother tribe, the Hebrews - Israelites. This is NOT the way for the descendants of Abraham who walked with Almighty God (YHWH) to act.

Why is this? It is because neither is walking with the TRUE GOD as did Abraham, but both are being mislead by none other than Satan the Devil per 2 Corinthians 4:4, "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." (AV).

In fact, the Ishmaelites instead of pursuing peace in accordance with what Jesus (Yeshua) the Son of God said at Matthew 22:37-40 said, "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." (AV).

This is clearly shown by what one Australian Newspaper said, "Did you know that 90-95% of the conflicts in the world today are Muslims fighting non-muslims or each other? " [source - The Weekend Australian, November 26-27, 2005 AD]"

However, what the world needs is peace, not war. So clearly we can see that the Ishmaelites are in a false religion not walking with Almighty God (YHWH), the God of Abraham; nor are the Hebrews who do not recognize his son, Jesus (Yeshua), anymore than the Ishmaelites.

All need to be showing love for neighbor by exposing false beliefs that are ruining mankind by misleading him from walking with the True God of Abraham, Almighty God (YHWH).

The question should NOT be who broke the cease fire as some maintain, but that of peace. All should pursue peace and love and NOT violence and hate. But many are just fooling themselves, it is not what either the Bible or the Bible knockoff the Qur'an actually say, but how religious leaders be they priest and/or imams or muftis or what ever teach the people is the interpretation of what is written either in the Bible or the bible knockoff the Qur'an that matters and governs actions. It matters not what the Bible and/or the Bible knockoff really say. People go by what they are taught by their religious leaders. Take the genocide committed by the Roman Catholic Church at the direction of their supreme religious leader, the pope, what mattered was not that the Bible clearly said at Exodus 20:13, "Thou shalt not kill." (Authorized King James Bible; AV), but what their religious leaders told them. Therefore, it is the religion at fault, irregardless of what their particular holy book, be it the Bible or the Bible knockoff the Qur'an may say. Neither is so called Christianity or in Islam are most individuals actions really governed in any way by what their particular holy book really says, but they are governed by the interpretation of their religious leaders. Thus, knowing this reality, one would be either just plain stupid and/or dumb to even bother looking at a particular religion's holy book and expect the members would conform to it. Take the Rig Vede and find me for example a Hindu actually conforming to it instead of the interpretation given to it by his religious leaders, like looking for a needle in the haystack per K.S. Lal, India's greatest historian.

Hamas is NOT seeking peace as clearly shown by Hamas' denial of the right of the Israelites to exist; whereas, Israel never has denied the right of the Palestines to existence. Nor has Israel ever used civilians as human shields or suicide bombers. Both of these practices show a clear disregard for peace and love of life and fellow man. Both the Ishmaelites - Hamas, and the Hebrews - Israelites should be walking with the TRUE GOD as did Abraham, but neither are.

O.K. - I admit it - I came across an extremely evil virus. This virus so evil (and incredibly intelligent) that you didn't even need to open it to become infected.

When this happens the most important thing is to consider all possible options such that you don't lose any data.

Data is far more important than hardware or operating system and must be protected at all cost.

Once you have cleaned out all the shit - you find that the computer that arrived on September 11th 2001 runs like new.

I would recommend Ubuntu as the best solution.

It is a mutualistic relationship that began to develop in 1967 and has grown over the years.

The huge amounts of weapons given to Israel has resulted in the political empowerment of the most brutal elements of Israeli society. Every state in the U.S. is now economically dependent on this weapons spending. AIPAC (the Arms Industry Political Action Commitee) now can threaten every member of the House and Senate with massive job losses among their constituents if they don't do their bidding.

The Pacific Green Party condemns the criminal attack by the state of Israel on the trapped, nearly helpless population of Gaza. We call for a complete withdrawal of invading troops, end of the bombardment, and lifting of
the siege that has created a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

We also call on the United States government to end its complicity in
Israeli crimes against humanity by cutting off its $4 billion of
financial aid and flow of advanced armaments to the Israeli military.
The best way to end the atrocities would be for US taxpayers to stop
paying for them. And we join the Green Party of the US (and Naomi Klein, here on Alternet) in calling for a boycott against Israel and campaign of divestment against US companies doing business there.

On December 30th 2008, we learned with great pride that former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, the Green Party's candidate for President in 2008, was on the Dignity, a boat loaded with hospital
supplies bound for Gaza when it was rammed and nearly sunk in
international waters by Israeli ships enforcing the blockade.
According to the Israeli navy, carrying medical supplies and doctors to dying people is a form of "terrorism."

We remind the people of Oregon and of the world that the rocket attacks
from within Gaza had essentially ended under the recent truce,
until ISRAEL BROKE THE TRUCE. On Nov. 4, when the world's attention
was on the US election, Israel shelled a defensive tunnel within Gaza, killing six people. It was after that that Hamas ended the truce and resumed rocket attacks, and after that that 3 Israeli

He and we should remember the contributions of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton to peace.

Carter’s sustained efforts helped lead to the signing of a permanent peace agreement between Israel and Egypt in 1979—a peace agreement that has never been broken. That required Carter’s strength, integrity and moral leadership—in short, diplomacy—something missing from Bush’s and the GOP’s toolkit.

Likewise, Clinton had a key role in supporting the peace process that led to the signing of a permanent peace agreement between Israel and Jordan in 1994, which agreement has never been broken.

Great piece. Israel needs to make a deal with the Arab and other Muslim countries while it is in a position of strength. This means accepting the Arab peace plan, and also accepting the need to get out of the West Bank and the Golan Heights. US encouragement of Israeli stupidity is not in the interests of Israel or the US.

Let me get this straight, if somebody stole your home and shot your brother for protesting the theft and took the land to build a jewish home and did it over 1000X , you would do Nothing ? Of course not , unless you're a hypocrite or coward .

Israel sports the worlds 4th largest army (conscription is mandatory) and is the world's third largest arms manufacturer. When you combine the hundreds of billions of dollars Israel spends EACH YEAR on weapons and illegal settlements, you have to ask yourself where in the hell do a mere six million jews in the desert get that kind of money?
If you watched 60 minutes this past week (I know it's biased) but they did screw up and investigated the huge price in gas last year, coming to the conclusion that it was speculators in the commodities market that caused the increase. They even went further, stating that there was collusion among secret traders to deliberately spike the oil market during a time when oil output was high and demand was low (which should have caused a decrease in oil-not an increase). They pointed the finger at Stanley Morgan, but its really AIPAC/Zionist controlled banks/investment firms working in collusion w/ Israel, to create capital for militray campaigns. They raised the price of gas to $4/gallon, taking food from the mouths of poor american kids, so they could finance the killing of poor palestianian kids!!!! Notice everytime we get raped here in the US, Israel goes on a very expensive military campaign against palestian/lebanon, etc.
If your really outraged, start by boycotting Blockbuster, CVS Pharmacy, Google, Comcast, etc. These quasi-israeli owned businesses are also huge sources of revenue for this criminal, rogue nation...

I enjoy reading alter.org and agree with 90% of the articles but this angle with Israel/Palestine is really embarrassing for alter.net

Let's visit the facts:

-as appreciation for a complete withdraw from Gaza Palestinians in a free election elected a terrorist organization that has in its charter a commitment to commit genocide on Israel

-Palestinians on a massive scale indoctrinate their children in official schools and kindergartens to hate and kill Jews and rationalists, they even train small children as suicide-bomb carriers

-Palestinians follow the psychotic superstition called Islam, which warps their minds beyond our imagination

-instead on focusing on peace and future prosperity they focus on smuggling weapons

-their warfare doctrine is to make no distinction between designated militant structures and civilian ones, thus making an illusion that Israel is the bad guy.

Really people, be more rational, if it was any other country Palestinians would be wiped out a long time ago. I'm really surprised that Israel has so much patience and humanity.

At least in matters of foreign policy and of the Israel tail wagging the US dog.

As a life long Dem, I am PISSED at those who claim to be Dems supporting this Atrocity.
I am not a 'Friend of Israel' nor Palestine, or even the 'Evangelical' movement who only has a death wish for the other two. How to eliminate the competition, get them to kill each other while you supply the means, not only keeps your hands clean, but also quite profitable.
I was outraged (again) by Hillary's testimony at her confirmation gala, that Americans are Free to Worship whatever way they want..Yet did not mention we also have the Right to NOT Worship at all! Apparently americans are not free to Not believe in a God, or at least the One they all are killing each other over. I question their use of the term 'God' when their actions are so bloodthristy and destructive.
The Israeli Gov't is once again Endangering US because we have some Traitors who have pledged their allegience to their problems, and Not ours.
As a Natural Born American of European decent, I would not even allow our country to be used like 'protectors & Providers' for any of the countries my family escaped. The world community is pressuring the United States to stop arming and giving diplomatic immunity to Israel.
This Israeli bombing of Gaza is inhumane and criminal.
