WATCH: How Obama Adviser Justifies Killing of Innocent 16-Year-Old Boy By Drone
Abdulrahman al-Awlaki is a 16-year-old boy who was killed by a CIA drone strike in Yemen last fall. Although, al-Awlaki had been living in Yemen since he was seven, he was an American citizen. His father, who was on the U.S.'s kill list for his involvment with al-Qaeda, was killed by a drone two weeks prior to his son. At this point, Abdulrahman hadn't seen his father in two years and was in no way involved with al-Qaeda. Still, the U.S. has not acknowledged the killing of this innocent teenager — of their own innocent citizen.
Asked recently about the murder of Abdulrahman, former Press Secretary and Obama adviser Robert Gibbs essentially blamed the boy for having the wrong father.
Gibbs was caught on camera saying:
I would suggest that you should have a far more responsible father if they are truly concerned about the well being of their children.
