Trump Extends Obama’s Deadline to Hand Over College Transcripts in Light of Hurricane
Due to Hurricane Sandy, billionaire Donald Trump has graciously extended the deadline he gave President Obama to produce his college transcripts and passport records.
A few hours ago, Trump, who originally gave Obama a deadline of Wednesday at 5 P.M., extended it to Thursday at noon.
If you haven’t heard the story, Trump announced last Wednesday that he would donate $5 million to a charity of Obama’s choice if the president released his college transcripts and passport records.
You can watch his video announcement here:
Trump claims he is making this offer in the name of transparency, saying: “President Obama is the least transparent president in the history of this country.”
But many have seen right through this racist political stunt as another attempt to try to prove Obama wasn’t born in the United States. In fact, in an interview with CNBC, Trump said:
A lot of people want to see his college transcripts … They're not looking at his marks, his grades. ... They want to see, what does he say about place of birth. Now, those transcripts have disappeared, nobody seems to be able to get them.
In the New York Daily News, Zerlina Maxwell wrote about how Trump’s request is steeped in racism.
The legitimacy of the first black President has been constantly questioned since he was elected. Is he really one of us? Where is proof he’s really not a foreigner? Where is the proof he isn’t an affirmative action baby?
