350 Protests In New York City: Thousands March Across Brooklyn Bridge
With the focus on bringing carbon dioxide levels down from 385 parts per million (and rising) to 350 ppm -- the level scientists have deemed safe as the upper limit in the atmosphere -- New Yorkers took to the streets to take part in 350.org's International Day of Climate Action.
Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge to Times Square, this was one of 5,200 events that took place around the world on Saturday, October 24, 2009.
