A car bomb exploded outside a mosque in the restive northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Friday, killing at least 10 people, police and a local hospital said.

The worshippers were attacked as they left a Shiite mosque in the north of the city after the weekly Muslim Friday prayers, local doctor Hekmet Sobhi told AFP.
