Maddow on the Whitey Bulger Case, Plus a Video of Boston Reacting to Whitey's Arrest

After Osama Bin Laden was killed, law enforcement in swift order descended on another "most wanted" figure--old-school Boston Irish gangster Whitey Bulger, arresting him this week after he'd spent years on run. Bulger is the stuff of legend, immortalized in film, most notably Oscar-winner "The Departed," in which a Bulger-like gangster was portrayed by the always-engaging Jack Nicholson.

With her typical ardor for good narratives, Rachel Maddow tells us the tale of Bulger's alleged crimes, and the FBI manhunt and investigation of this man who is now being brought to justice.

Watch her segment below--and stay tuned even if it starts with Jai Alai, she's leading you to Bulger.

And below that, a video tha'ts widely circulating showing some interesting reactions to the "Whitey" arrest in Southie, or South Boston, where he was both a menace and a protective figure.
