Shocking: Pirates Kill Four Americans
Four Americans sailing on a yacht off the coast of Oman were killed by their hijackers, who numbered as many as 19.
Since the hijacking last week, the yacht called "the Quest" had been shadowed by the navy, which moved on board at the sound of gunfire.
According to CNN, the statement from US central command read: "As (U.S. forces) responded to the gunfire, reaching and boarding the Quest, the forces discovered all four hostages had been shot by their captors... "Despite immediate steps to provide life-saving care, all four hostages ultimately died of their wounds."
The Navy engaged the hijackers, leaving all captured or dead.
