Progressive America Mourns as Michael Steele Passes the Torch at RNC
It's official: Michael Steele has dropped out of the race for Republican National Committee Chair and endorsed Maria Cino. Dave Weigel reports:
"And now, said Steele, I exit stage right."
He exited stage left. (That's where his supporters where.)
It's a sad day for liberals, especially liberal writers with a sense of humor. Steele will certainly be missed.
But, on the up side, he's now free to run once again for a Senate seat, either as a Republican, a Democrat, or, like last time, both.
