I wonder how many of those discharged for "being gay" are actually gay? Worth asking!

It looks like the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy may be starting to unravel unofficially. The following article was published today:

Navy Re-Enlists Sailor Discharged For Being Gay

"An openly gay sailor discharged in 2005 under 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell', has been recalled to active duty. Stars & Stripes, the military newspaper, reports that Petty Officer Jason Knight was discharged after coming out to his command, but was recalled and is now finishing a one-year tour in Kuwait with Naval Customs Battalion Bravo."

"According to Stars & Stripes, Knight is now serving openly, and sees no reason to hide his sexual orientation."

after Bush. Assuming there IS an "after Bush", and they don't pull a false-flag op, declare martial law, put all those "internment camps" to use and there are no more elections. The law as the Bush administration has mangled it would allow it, and their control of the government after such an act would guarantee that no investigation ever succeeded.

As with so many ultra liberal articles on Alternet, this one also tells only half the story.
The don't ask and don't tell policy was also put in place in order to protect servicemen and women from unwarranted discrimination.
Since this policy was in effect, organizations like those headed by Dixon have done everything possible either legally, illegally, immoral and dishonest to bring this downfall to full fruition.
These are the same tactics utilize in the GLBT group for an assault on Marriage.
While on the surface, the idea of having gay servicemen on active duty sounds fairly egalitarian, look at it from another perspective:
Would women be comfortable in a coed dorm rooms and coed showers (that is having heterosexual men showering with heterosexual women)? If the answer is no, most service women would not be comfortable with that, then why the double standard?
Because one never knew the sexual orientation of same sex individuals, one could comfortably put this out of their mind. Consider if someone flashes the idea that they are gay-is a heterosexual service person required by Dept. of Defense regulations to sleep bunk to bunk, bathe and go to the bathroom with someone out and out gay and proud of it?
And what about the potential legal difficulties if one is trying to put the make on another person of the same sex? It's his word against the other. Taking one side, you discriminate agaist the other. It is a legal nightmare.
There are enormous social issues and ramificatons especially when one considers that gays may at best represent 4 per cent of the population and possibly even less in the military.
If the answer is yes, then perhaps we have to make it a unisexual military with everyone going to the same bathrooms, taking groups showers and living under one roof and of course sleeping with one another.
If these regulations were implemented, my guess is the only women in the military would be whores and lesbians. This would effectively eliminate almost all inclusion of heterosexual women in the military--effectively preventing millions of women the right to enlist and serve.

If the answer is that there should be no differentiation of either sex regardless of sexual orientation, then perhaps it is time for a unisexual military with everyone going to the same bathrooms, taking groups showers and living under one roof and of course sleeping in one large building regardless of gender.
If this policy were implemented, my guess is the only women in the military would be whores and lesbians. This would effectively eliminate almost all heterosexual women in the military--effectively preventing millions of women the right to enlist and serve.
To date, the don't ask don't tell policy has been utilized as a quick "get out of your contract with the military card.
Allowing Gays in the Military to openly flaunt their sexual orientation sets up a whole new Pandora's Box of problems and posssible areas of discrimination. It also puts into place a whole array of "he said--she said," potential legal problems that will ultimately mire the Military in constant strife and tumoil.

Letter to the editor
Peter Macdonald 465 Packersfalls rd Lee NH03824 603-659-6217
Letter to the Editor are a great way for people to learn about problems in our government. What do you do if newspapers censor your letters. In today’s letters I read how people are harmed by the Veterans administration. I have a copy of the paper work to show that the VA has used my service connected disabilities as a tool to stop me. NH Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter had Dr. Biswas of the Manchester VA Hospital attempt to commit me for her self gain. The Director of the NH VA has stopped my medical care. I went to the Portsmouth VA clinic on May 13, 07 at 2:30 and was informed by two nurses to leave and not come back. I was there for severe head pain and numbness and drooping of the left side of my face. I left now the VA administration in Manchester refuse to talk with me. My messages go unanswered. NH judges and government officials are violating the Constitution for self pleasure. The newspapers refuse to print the people opinion. Did Cpl McKay miss use police power to inflict harm on someone that he did not like? Was Carle Drega harmed by town officials, the judge and NH state police in Colebrook NH? Maybe we the citizens just get fed up. I volunteer to help a Madbury NH family so desperate they called me because of my letters in the paper. I had never met this family before. The Madbury NH selectmen use government powers to harm residents the selectmen do not like. Judge Peter Fauver violated the Constitution 29 or more times to protect these selectmen. Judge James O’Neill acknowledged these crimes in open court and then ruled them constitutional to protect a brother judge. The NH supreme court refuse to hear the case to protect the legal empire. The Federal courts ruled that judges have immunity to protect the monopoly on power. I am a 100% disabled United States Marine. I have a head injury which left me with no memory of life prior to my seventeenth birthday. I broke my back while performing my duty in a combat support mission. I lost my hearing on another combat support mission. NH has taken my freedom, money, wife and much more. Now NH has taken my medical. To strip a disabled veteran of medical services for service connected injuries is a crime. Federal officials, judges and NH government officials are dominating we the people. The newspapers are fueling these crimes by censoring the truth. I have violated no laws or threatened anyone. I volunteer over 1000hr/yr helping any one that needs help. I am fed up. Should I do what our Constitution obliges us to do when all means of redress fails. There must be a peace full solution. Congresswoman Shea-porter lied on a police report and the Dover and Lee NH police refuse to allow me to file a complaint. Check Dover police file 7002-942 before it disappears. Letters to the editor that are censored are destructive to a free society. Death, Destruction and turmoil will eventually rule. Peter Macdonald Sgt USMC Semper Fi.
