How a Man Was Thrown into Gitmo and Tortured for Clicking on My Article

I like to think that some of the things I write cause discomfort in those readers who deserve to feel it. Ideally, they should squirm, they should flinch, they might even experience fleeting gastrointestinal symptoms. But I have always drawn the line at torture. It may be unpleasant to read some of my writings, especially if they have been assigned by a professor, but it should not result in uncontrollable screaming, genital mutilation or significant blood loss.
With such stringent journalistic ethics in place, I was shocked to read in the February 14
Daily Mail Onlinea
brief articleheaded "Food writer's online guide to building an H-bomb...the 'evidence' that put this man in Guantánamo." The "food writer" was identified as me, and the story began:
A British 'resident' held at Guantanamo Bay was identified as a terrorist after confessing he had visited a 'joke' website on how to build a nuclear weapon, it was revealed last night.
Binyam Mohamed, a former UK asylum seeker, admitted to having read the 'instructions' after allegedly being beaten, hung up by his wrists for a week and having a gun held to his head in a Pakistani jail.
While I am not, and have never been, a "food writer," other details about the "joke" rang true, such as the names of my co-authors, Peter Biskind and physicist Michio Kaku. Rewind to 1979, when Peter and I were working for a now-defunct left-wing magazine named Seven Days. The government had just suppressed the publication of another magazine, The Progressive, for attempting to print an article called "The H-Bomb Secret." I don't remember that article, and the current editor of The Progressive recalls only that it contained a lot of physics and was "Greek to me." Both in solidarity with The Progressive and in defense of free speech, we at Seven Days decided to do a satirical article entitled "How to Make Your Own H-Bomb," offering step-by-step instructions for assembling a bomb using equipment available in one's own home.
The satire was not subtle. After discussing the toxicity of plutonium, we advised that to avoid ingesting it orally, "Never make an A-bomb on an empty stomach." My favorite section dealt with the challenge of enriching uranium hexafluoride:
First transform the gas into a liquid by subjecting it to pressure. You can use a bicycle pump for this. Then make a simple home centrifuge. Fill a standard-size bucket one-quarter full of liquid uranium hexafluoride. Attach a six-foot rope to the bucket handle. Now swing the rope (and attached bucket) around your head as fast as possible. Keep this up for about 45 minutes. Slow down gradually, and very gently put the bucket on the floor. The U-235, which is lighter, will have risen to the top, where it can be skimmed off like cream. Repeat this step until you have the required 10 pounds of uranium. (Safety note: Don't put all your enriched uranium hexafluoride in one bucket. Use at least two or three buckets and keep them in separate corners of the room. This will prevent the premature build-up of a critical mass.)
Our H-bomb cover story created a bit of a stir at the time, then vanished into the attics and garages of former Seven Days staffers, only to resurface, at least in part, on the Internet in the early 2000s. Today, you can find it quoted on the blog spot of a University of Dayton undergraduate, along with the flattering comment: "This forum post is priceless. It is one of the best pieces of scientific satire I have ever seen. I can only hope and pray that terrorist groups attempt to construct an atomic bomb using these instructions -- if they survive the attempt, they'll have at least wasted months of effort."

Hmm.
If cutting some guy's penis is mundane, what then is extraordinary? And just who is doing the cutting? Either the job is exremely lucrative, or the people responsible are just doing it for a hobby.
Sick fucks, either way.

I like that. But I've lost confidence in all of you............all journalists on alternative media.
Why?
Because you have purposely avoided any mention of 9/11 truth. The biggest story of all time, and you WILL NOT MENTION IT.
The contradictions and lies of the official story of 9/11 are huge, and glaring, and begging to be brought to the American public. David Ray Griffin and Steven Jones and Richard Gage and Kevin Ryan and others have done all the work. They have proven beyond any doubt that not only has there been a massive coverup (a giant story in itself), but that those attacks could not have happened as they did without help from the government. The official story just plain doesn't make sense. I think you know all of this.
And that is why I feel that you are part of a conspiracy to defraud the American public. You have worked with Bush/Cheyney to keep the truth from us. Is it pressure, or threats? Are you worried about the safety of your family, or losing your career, or do they know something about you that they can blackmail you with?
What is it????????
We have got to know. Building 7 could not come down at almost freefall speed into its own footprint without controlled demolition. Architects and engineers from all over the world have told us that. But the treasonous media will not bring this to light.
You, I think, know why all of you have kept the truth, the 9/11 truth, from us. With that in mind, should we believe anything you say? Are you a mouthpiece for the government criminals? Do they let you have just enough line on your leash to pretend to be a brave journalist.
Maybe I have it wrong...........maybe you are just uninformed about 9/11. Maybe you don't realize that those 19 hijackers did not bring us 9/11. If so, I am astounded anyone in your position has not had the curiosity to dig a little deeper into the story. But I guess it is possible. If so, then start studying if you care one bit about our future. You cannot possibly be informed about 9/11 and not realize that it was an inside job.
But if you realize that the facts of 9/11 do not fit the official story, and you have not written about it, then you are either under extreme threat, or you are part of a criminal conspiracy.
Which one is it.
If you don't want to write the truth here, email me at pfgetty@embarqmail.com
Time is running out. The lies of 9/11 are destroying our nation and our world. You are part of making this happen, but you could be part of the solution. I don't think you want to die knowing you helped destroy the future of our kids.

I'm a big fan of Barbara Ehrenriech, but folks, please have a brain.
This guy had all the hallmarks of suspicious activity, and then some.
Moslem refugees in Europe, especially unattached male ones, tend to be very spiteful about taking low-status jobs -- something Europeans have allowed local Mosques to capitalize on and goad into worse behavior.
I don't believe for a second this guy was looking at the referenced website as a "joke," and neither should anybody else with half a brain.
The Moslem mentality, especially that of Middle Eastern and N. African immigrants, does not grasp satire or humor as we understand it in the West -- funny to the Middle Eastern Moslem male is when somebody gets his hand chopped off & it bounces into somebody else's lap. The Moslem sense of "humor" tends to be as crude and spiteful as their "human rights" record.
While we may agree that torture is unacceptable, to discuss this individual as if he were just going about his daily business and happened to get nabbed is ridiculous.
Europe has sown the seeds of her own destruction by allowing this problem to proliferate. If we do the same, the "human rights" problems of a few shady illegal immigrants are going pale in comparison to the "human rights" we will be enjoying under a Moslem-oriented program. I doubt Ms. Ehrenreich, or any other civilized Westerner, would appreciate the "human rights" rules she would then be subject to.

I did stuff in the science lab at school when I was 15, that if I even talked about it today would almost certainly get me arrested.
It was called experimenting with dangerous chemicals. It was part of the chemistry course.
