US VP Biden to travel to Europe next month
US Vice President Joe Biden will visit Germany, France and Britain early next month for wide-ranging talks at the start of President Barack Obama's new administration, the White House said Friday.
"At all stops, the vice president will discuss with key leaders a full range of bilateral, regional and global issues," the White House said in a statement.
Biden will meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, President Francois Hollande in Paris, and Prime Minister David Cameron in London, it said.
In Germany, Biden also will address the Munich Security Conference, an annual event that draws policy makers and experts on security issues from around the world.
Biden addressed the conference in 2009 at the start of Obama's first term.
