Michael Jackson’s family suing concert promoter over singer’s death
Michael Jackson's mother and three children are moving forward with a multi-billion lawsuit against AEG Live, the promoter of the singer's ill-fated "This Is It" comeback show in London in 2009, for wrongful death. The case will go to jury trial next month.
Jackson's physician, Conrad Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaugther for Jackson's overdose on propofol in 2011, but the lawsuit alleges that AEG Live pressured him into forcing Jackson to rehearse for the show despite evidence of exhaustion.
