Jets’ Holmes may have broken rib during scrimmage

CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) — Santonio Holmes walked off the field and into the locker room, his side hurting — potentially leaving a big gap in the New York Jets' already-thin receiving corps.

Coach Rex Ryan said that Holmes "might" have broken a rib during the team's scrimmage Saturday night, bad news for a team that lacks depth at the position because of other injuries.

"I heard he might have broke a rib or something," Ryan said. "I'm not sure about that."
