The Los Angeles Clippers, playing without their NBA All-Star forward Blake Griffin, lost their third game in a row, falling 98-90 to the Washington Wizards.

Griffin, sidelined by a pre-game left hamstring strain, had started 197 consecutive games before missing the contest for the Clippers, who have been without All-Star guard Chris Paul for the past eight games as well due to a knee injury.

Martell Webster made 5-of-6 shots from 3-point range to lead the Wizards with 21 points while Brazil's Nene and Garrett Temple each scored 15 points and John Wall added 13 points and eight assists for Washington (12-35).

Emeka Okafor had 14 rebounds and Trevor Ariza added 10 points off the bench for the Wizards, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Jamal Crawford scored 28 points and Eric Bledsoe scored 17 points and passed off nine assists for the Clippers, who still lead the Pacific division at 34-16. DeAndre Jordan contributed a career-high 22 rebounds in a losing cause.

It was the first victory for the Wizards over the Clippers since January 31, 2008.
