Limbaugh and Right Wing Media Brethren Go After Obama With Racism--Again!
As the election season heats up, so does the racism, hardly even veiled, from the extreme edges of the Right Wing--aimed squarely at President Obama.
First up we have the reigning champion, Rush Limbaugh, weighing in with his usual bile and hot air, who stepped forward to degend the Daily Caller Neil Munro's rude interruption of President Obama during a briefing.
Responding to critics who thought Munro's interruption was racist, Limbaugh said, “Everyone knows Munro was heckling Obama’s white half."
Thanks for that clarification, Rush.
But ladies and gentlemen, it gets worse! There's Barbara Espoinoza, an Arizona radio host, who called Obama a "monkey"--and then defended herself.
When outrage erupted over her racist comments, Espinosa went on the Internet to defend herself. In one comments section, she linked to a Google image search of the words “Obama as monkey cartoon” and wrote, “With a last name of Espinosa I’m anything but racist.” She also wrote a post on her website titled “YES! I Did Use the Word Monkey and Obama in same sentence…
And then there's the Drudge Report, which published this picture and headline when Obama announced his immigration reform executive decision:
Cue the sound of thousands of jaws dropping.
I expect this is only the beginning of amped-up racist rhetoric. Countdown until someone accuses me of playing "the race card" for pointing this out.
