Bill Maher on Ronald Reagan's Beliefs: "Today, That's Dennis Kucinich"

Talking to guest David Frum about the more moderate wing of the Republican Party, Bill Maher's show last night focused on how the conservatives have gotten so bananas that it seems like there is a liberal "nostalgia" for George Bush I and even Ronald Reagan—who, he notes, raised taxes, was against nukes, and was for collective bargaining. "I mean, today," quips Maher, "that's Dennis Kucinich." More importantly, says Frum: "They would not have pushed the country to the point of bankruptcy in order to make a point." Indeed.
